good point, who would you keep? would you buy?Not sure we will want to go into the season with Udogie & Davies are our LB options. Davies is 31 and Udogie has never played in the EPL; and is not familiar playing in a back 4.

Kulu and Porro aren't this summer budget.16.3m vicario, 39m porro, 40m maddison, 26m kulusevski =121.3m
0m for solomon, 30m for micky pond = 151.3m
That’s why VDV is the best option between him and Tapsoba. If Udogie settles well then VDV doesn’t have to fill in at left back. Not sure we will want to go into the season with Udogie & Davies are our LB options. They aren't new players joining the club.
Those fees were pre agreed from previous budgets.
Unless we want to say that we spent 0 in the last January window?
and 25m only for Bentancur in the January before.
Creative accounting!sorry, my bad! I thought porro was a loan in january. I guess you mean we paid that 39m then then?

I'm still counting the £40m for Romero and the £1.5m for Goran Bunjevcevic.Kulu and Porro aren't this summer budget.

We allocated that 39m from the January window budget.
We aren't paying the full 39m this summer either btw. It will be paid in installments. Kulu is about 6m or sth mental this summer.
Ange doesn't strike me as the kind of person who would bullshit a player into signing. I'm pretty sure anyone signing for us will know exactly what the deal is from Ange's mouth, no less. The only (potential*) problem with getting both is that if we play a back 4, one of the newbies (or Romero) won't be first choice. And please could people stop with this nonsense about everyone fighting for a starting place, no one being back-up etc, it's so naive - in reality, whilst of course a manager might pick different players for different games to some extent, in reality both we and the players will all soon know who the manager's prefered starting choices are, especially with a defence where you don't really want to be chopping and changing every week unless it's forced. So if we sign both Tapsoba and VdV, presumably VdV won't start games, at least not until he's proven he's better than Tapsoba or Romero. If he's happy with that, and understands that he's signing on that basis, great. If he doesn't, i.e. if he expects to start immediately, and has signed on that understanding, then we'd just be creating a pissed off player from the off by then signing Tapsoba to start ahead of him.
* of course there are other permutations. Ange could play a back 5, or he could play VdV as LB in a back 4. Vdv might simply relish the challenge of not going straight in. Etc. I'm just saying that IF none of that is the case, then signing Tapsoba after VdV might cause problems...
If you could break the club's transfer record on one player this summer (semi realistic), who would it be?
based on our needs, I think mine would be Levi Colwill.
He's placed his bet. What's yours?
I dont do silly internet bets with Strangers
It could be a bit of the old Bullseye "Have a look at what you could have won"...I don't think the club would fly VdV, his father, and his agent into London if they weren't intent on signing him. VdV has already been chosen, what happens with Tapsoba we shall see
I'd say they are highly stacked in his favour!
Didn't I just see you'd take a punt on Toney?
