Think it will be less that. 6.9m I heard the other week.
That’s not bad then. It’s a long old season & he is a 7/10 player. Not been following football much lately so assumed Barca would want about 25m. Just looked it up & this seems a fair analyse.

It is suggested that discussions over a £8.6 million fee are continuing. But it seems that the Catalan giants still see the 28-year-old making the move back to the Premier League before too long.
Tottenham fans are probably not too excited about the prospect of Lenglet returning. He did not exactly stand out during his loan spell with the club. And obviously, last year was one that many supporters would happily forget in an instant.
But bringing Lenglet back is not going to take a huge bite out of the Tottenham budget. So it could be a smart piece of business if they do now reach an agreement with Barcelona in the coming days.

It was contes fault he made us play boring football and thought he was doing us a favour.
So it was Conte's fault Spence didn't play much for Rennes?

Dr Evil Whatever GIF

The context is, from 18 games available, he featured in only 8 of them.
And Conte had nothing to do with that. Ergo, it wasn't Conte's fault.
Except he’s a stronger RWB than he is a RB so you’d expect him to have had more opportunities there. Especially as we were playing Royal out of position.

Fact is conte mismanaged a lot of players. The list of players who looked WORSE under him last season is long: Romero, Dier, Bissouma, Son, Kulu, Richarlison, Lloris. All of these showed more in previous seasons.

Sarr, Gil and Spence given no opportunities in an underperforming team.

Maybe Spence is the one, maybe he’s another Sessegnon. It’s hard to know with one player but when the list is that long and results are bad… it’s him.

Tbh Spence and gil need a further look in pre-season. Sessegnon is at a club too big for him. Always getting injured and timid.

Conte was crap and high maintenance. Onwards and upwards as they say.
Again, nothing to do with Spence not getting played much for Rennes. That's between him and Rennes and them alone.

Also worth pointing out, despite the craziness, despite the football, Conte left with us in 4th and, had the ref not been bent, 3rd place. And he joined us when we were in 9th position.
He lifted a mid table squad into the top 4 and he kept it there. Once he left, it almost immediately went back to being mid table.

So putting the style of football to one side, I think it's incredibly hard to say he was "shit"

Going behind 9 consecutive games and then 2 nil down to Bournemouth was shit. Luckily we comeback in Bournemouth game but players lost interest.
