After he left, 5 down against Newcastle in 20 minutes. Threw away a lead to lose against Bournemouth at home. Lost against Everton away when we were 1 up and a man up. Avoidable loss altogether. Went behind stupidly early against United and Liverpool due to catastrophic defending, threw away a lead against Brentford, hopeless against Villa etc etc
We were better with Conte at getting points than without.
You can screw your face up and whinge that you hate him all you like. He was a better coach (by fucking miles) than his predecessor and his successor. His job isn't to please you, it's to get points. And he was good at it with a squad that wasn't.
Fans all thought we wanted to sit back, the fact of the matter was and still is, our defence is shocking and as soon as it stopped sitting back, it was opened up with pathetic ease.

The bottom line was that we were hanging on to 4th by a fingernail and the pack chasing us had 2-3 games in hand, and the football with which we were getting some of those points was utter wank. I agree about his predecessor, but his successor (Ange) is going to be miles better.

That's almost half of Kanes production between two players, we would be seriously fucked without him.
