Let's see how Ange feels after seeing Tangy in a proper match where there are points on the line.

All of our previous managers also gave Tangy an initial opportunity to prove himself, it almost feels as if Levy and Cullen write it into the new managers contract, " please please you must at least try and salvage this disastrous signing".

If we have had an offer of 20 mill it's absolutely ridiculous not to take the money and just move on. It would be right for the club and right for the player. It just hasn't worked out and all this denial and attempts to find solutions are simply futile.
 
Been burnt too many times with Tanguy. Wasn’t even particularly impressive at Napoli. Suspect he still gets sold before September.

What does Ange need to know? He’s skilled but the dedication isn’t there..

There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be buying even better than Tapsoba and VdV, who offer - on paper - no guarantee that they'll be any better than our current crop of CB and help us concede fewer than 63 goals in the PL. Davinson too once was a very exciting young CB with one solid season under his belt...

Our defence was absolute dogshite last season. You don't solve that with B-listers, no disrespect to Taps/Micky/Tosin/Lenglet...especially when Romero ain't at the level some on here think he is.

You go get one or even 2 proper stars. You pay the money, the club will sell, the player & agent will say yes please.

I don't give a shit no club has ever signed 2 big name CBs in one window. So what.

It’s always a gamble but the chances of a 70/90m player being successful are likely higher than a 50/60m player,

My feeling is actually that the bracket we shop in for our “Marquee”!signings (40-60m) actually presents the worst risk/reward ratio of all.

The big boy clubs know that only the really financially able/committed owners will go as high as 70-90m so they push the prices for the very best talents up to that range so they keep them and stay ahead.

If he does give him time and he is good then that's fine.
If he does give him time and he's useless, then what will everyone who has a disproportionate level of hate for Conte come out with next?

We have a player we signed from the Championship off the back of 1 good season. A player who was loaned out by his Championship club to another Championship club as they didn't think he was up to it. He then didn't get much time at Spurs as players were ahead of him. Then he didn't get much time when Spurs loaned him out as there were players ahead of him at Renne too.

So he wasn't wanted by Boro, wasn't used by Spurs, wasn't used by Rennes. His only sustained run of games was in the Championship.

But let's keep peddling the narrative it was all Conte as he's a nasty mean old man.
