If he does give him time and he is good then that's fine.
If he does give him time and he's useless, then what will everyone who has a disproportionate level of hate for Conte come out with next?

We have a player we signed from the Championship off the back of 1 good season. A player who was loaned out by his Championship club to another Championship club as they didn't think he was up to it. He then didn't get much time at Spurs as players were ahead of him. Then he didn't get much time when Spurs loaned him out as there were players ahead of him at Renne too.

So he wasn't wanted by Boro, wasn't used by Spurs, wasn't used by Rennes. His only sustained run of games was in the Championship.

But let's keep peddling the narrative it was all Conte as he's a nasty mean old man.
He had a falling out with Warnock that's why he was loaned to Forrest

Pal, be honest...you attended LeParisien LeParisien 's workshops?

Don’t think that’s opinion.

Conte wanted veteran players in his big positions at WB. He got Perisic at LWB, he needed a top player, ready to go at RWB.

He then described Spence as an important player for the FUTURE of the club.

He couldn’t have been sending a clearer message to the board.

Especially as he has a 3CB system and all they managed to get him was Lenglet on loan
I think in years to come, when this great football club realises it's true potential under ambitious, aggressive ownership, many more will afford Antonio the legend status he deserves for calling Levy out as the snivelling, lying, unambitious snake that he is....:coys:

Had his best season when Boro didn't want him and another team did.

Had a great performances on loan at Rennes against the best player in the world.

Conte didn't give him a chance because he wasn't what he wanted. The fault there is between the club's recruitment and Conte, it isn't on Spence.

The kid has/had an attitude and called out Warnock on socials after getting Forets promoted. Chances are his loan experience and Spurs experience has left him with zero illusions of what he has to do.

You could always just try taking a balanced view on the player instead of using him as a way to defend a manager that essentially torched the place on the way out.

btw I have said I was grateful in some ways for Conte calling Levy out.

There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be buying even better than Tapsoba and VdV, who offer - on paper - no guarantee that they'll be any better than our current crop of CB and help us concede fewer than 63 goals in the PL. Davinson too once was a very exciting young CB with one solid season under his belt...

Fuck the fact we finished 8th, got no Europe, got no Saudi owners, haven't won zilch in forever.

We're fucking Tottenham Hotspur. We're a massive, massive club. We're a sleeping giant who's just dying to wake the eff up. We're absolutely loaded with cash. Got a frigging insane stadium, training ground and fanbase. We're in London. That's why Madds picked us.

Our defence was absolute dogshite last season. You don't solve that with B-listers, no disrespect to Taps/Micky/Tosin/Lenglet...especially when Romero ain't at the level some on here think he is.

You go get one or even 2 proper stars. You pay the money, the club will sell, the player & agent will say yes please.

I don't give a shit no club has ever signed 2 big name CBs in one window. So what.

You know what Einstein said about insanity...

If Taposba isn't a guaranteed improvement on what we have, who in your opinion would be?

Been burnt too many times with Tanguy. Wasn’t even particularly impressive at Napoli. Suspect he still gets sold before September.

What does Ange need to know? He’s skilled but the dedication isn’t there..

If he thinks he can pin any trust on Ndombele then he shouldnt come crying if the player ends up contributing to him losing his job. Ludicrous to give him a chance now.

It’s claimed Galatasaray have already rejected the north London club’s €22m bid for the Denmark international requested his release clause of €25m to be paid to sanction his sale.

Akşam state Ange Postecoglu’s side took time to consider the Turkish club’s request and have now ‘decided to pay’ the €25m fee to sign the centre-back in this window.

Should Nelsson join his ‘biggest suitor’ for €25m, the report states it’ll be a club-record sale for Galatasaray.

interesting.

So him and VDV if this report is true.

I guess that would solve the james maddison back up issue for when he's injuried. Just can't imagine tangy being any different in his workrate though no matter who's in charge
You're very, very probably right on the money, my man...but for one second, just imagine if Ange is that magic he can get a tune out of Tanguy & Gio and get Romero to play/act a true world class operator? My oh my...if Kane gets anywhere near 30 league goals again & Sonny has even half the season he did when he won the golden boot...that's top 4 for sure.

But yeah, likelihood is Tanguy gonna look good & committed in pre-season, before falling off a cliff again come Sept...GLC will still be darn average but act as if he's the shit...and Romero gonna Romero.

Seems those who sold this as ‘done deal’ (looking at you John Cross and a few Dutch journos) clearly work to be done. Andy Brassell said last night Wolfsberg haven’t heard anything in relation to a bid
