Kid is that good.

It’s an overpay, obviously.

That’s what it would take to get him to Spurs from Chelsea.

60m Colwill
45m Tapsoba

Seriously rebuilding the squad to win long term.

If we end up with

35m VdV
45m Tapsoba

It could end up just as good but you are paying less because you don’t get a homegrown spine in your team
Pal, 60-65mil for a kid with 17 PL games to his name, no matter how good he is/may become, that he's HG and comes from Chelsea...it's just madness. Pure and simple.

I know you're the excitable kind when it comes to transfers (even for players you've barely watched) and don't get me wrong, more often than not I love your (blind) enthusiasm, but as far as spanking 60 mil on that Levi kid is concerned, I just can't concur.

That price range is world class money, he ain't world class. May as well add another 20-30 mil on top and get a guy who's ready, experienced etc.

If Hojbjerg were to go do we think he gets replaced or we’ll go with what we have in Bissouma Skipp Sarr in the ‘defensive’ role.

Prefer to give the likes of Sarr, Devine and even Craig a look. Ange has a history of going young.

Still can’t rule out Kulu shifting inside to an 8 and even one of N’Dombele or Lo Celso hanging around

I'm not a particular fan of Gallagher and there are similarities with him and Hojbjerg but 5 years younger, room for improvement and homegrown it wouldnt be a terrible move. He's more dynamic than Hojbjerg and you could see him doing well in Postecoglous system. Again he's a bit of a 6/7 out of 10 player though.

I watched him put in some fantastic performances for Palace. Don't think its fair to judge most players on the shit show that was Chelsea last year and whilst I am not advocating for him to join us, if he did I would be very interested to see how he would develop and if there is another level for him to go up.

He's an established International with 54 caps, £9m is crackhead money.

At this point I'm going to assume that most of you are bankrupt, no way you survive everyday life living like this.
You are living in the past during a time when clubs in Spain, Italy had money. They have now better scouting and data now meaning these frauds aren’t wanted, previously even bottom half PL clubs would pay up but not now. They know this fool can’t stand up let alone defend

I work in Finance and the biggest drain on our money is our ridiculous wage bill. One third of our Opex is being spent on players that are shit and have no future (c.75M down the drain annually). Far more important to hack that down, rather than quibble about 9M vs 15M which will spread over four years anyway

F that, great work ethic but headless chicken - a trier who lacks quality and class. Obv him vs that wanker Hoj is straightforward but would be a lazy signing IMO

Listen, I know you also think you know everything about every player on the planet and pitch yourself as some kind of judge when it comes to people's opinions on players.

But I couldn't give less of a fuck.

Football is a bit of fun for me. I'm a fan and I enjoy speculating and chatting shit. I'm not coming at this as some kind of expert.

I'm on a chat forum saying I watched a lot of Brighton, in fact they are the team I watch the most after Spurs and I really rate Colwill.

If I was seriously getting work as an analyst when it comes to recruiting players, I'd have more information than is publicly available and more than likely wouldn't be sharing my views on TFC forum (unless I wanted to influence fan sentiment on a player).

If you have your expert opinion on which players are good, I'm happy for you. But patronising people on a chat forum and calling them "excitable", saying that in comparison to your lofty opinions, they are "blind enthusiasm" just makes you come off as a twat.

So we'll buy a player on a 4-5 year contract plus whatever transfer fee, because one of our players will be out for 3 months.

Makes sense.
You really hate competition for places dont you. I have no idea why you feel the need to manage and talk down fairly modest expectations on behalf of the club. My point was If Hojbjerg goes we need a replacement. With Postecoglou playing 3 in midfield you'd be going in with 4 midfielders for the first 3 months of the season and one of them is the unproven Sarr..

Oh pop him on ignore. He hasn't got the intellect to comprehend what it is you are telling him. Suggest you don't waste your time. Most posters know his 'modus operandi' by now and ignore it. Only his handful of worshipping disciples continue to cling on to his nonsense like flies on shit.

:nunothumb:
Nah, the miserable attitude is actually quite amusing. Makes me thank my stars I'm not like him/her/it.

I think we need more legs and quality in there myself, but with a Hojbjerg sale, depending on outgoings we could have Bissouma, Skipp, Sarr, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Maddison for 3 spots before Bentancur returns. All down to what he thinks of GLC and Ndombele really, not what we think of them.

Skipp, Bissouma, Maddison, Benta, Sarr and even Deki at a push should be enough for a side not in Europe. We're crying about not giving youngsters a chance, yet now you're advocating we buy a player that could potentially block Sarr's progress, or bringing in someone from the academy. In a throwaway rebuilding year, no less.

Makes zero sense.

It feels like chance number 5 for both of those. Do we go back to whats patently failed over the last 4 years? If we get offers for those i'm pretty confident they'll be off. Postecoglou cleared out a ton of players when he first went to Celtic.
