I do wonder if Hermoso might come up in Hojbjerg talks. One year left on contract, excellent ball player, not sure on ability to play in a defensive line higher up the field.

Same on Twitter, same on here

We don't need to wait for things to go wrong, they already have.

We've gon backwards since moving into the new stadium and finished 8th last season and have just appointed an Aussie as Head Coach whilst one of our main rivals appointed Poch.

It's not like we won the Treble a few years back but the fans are acting like it's some sort of disgrace it hasn't been repeated.

We've been starved of success under Levy and ENIC and are now just a banter club for people to poke fun at.

But yeah, we ought to be so fucking grateful.

Style of play will help a lot of our players.

Still believe our team is closer to the one we saw under Conte's first 6 months than the last season.

Most of the squad can be fixed or used far better. Don’t think our attack, midfield or full backs are that bad.

CB’s however is different we have to get 2-3 of them. Romero aside the talent level is crap in that position.

Best outcome for everyone.

Let’s not fuck this up

The rumour above that Ange is "in love with Bissouma" makes sense, as he's an athletic D/CM who's confident on the ball & can cover ground quickly.

Whereas PEH is a near perfect fit for Simeone as he won't have to move much in Atletico's compact midfield, and he has a "professional" streak that Diego can turn into the stuff of footballing nightmares.

We'll sell Hojbjerg, he'll go on to do well at Atletico and the fans who were desperate to see him go will be crying that we sold him. Trippier all over again.

Lots of players who should be moved on before him, but if he wants out and the fee is good, then so be it.

You're wasting your own time, mate. You can simply not respond or ignore, rather than trumpet that you're done with my terrible arguments.
I did respond & even told you why your argument makes no sense as have many others. It’s very simple. You can’t see it. Not my problem. I give up trying to explain to you.

I saw Atleti win by 6 goals last season, in person. It still wasn’t football I’d want to watch every week.

Same people that will complain about him being sold were probably complaining about watching Conte ball.

Ndombele is not overweight. His problem is that his anaerobic inability to play as a box to box midfielder in the premier league. Take Traore for example once he does a sprint he has to spend the next 1-2 minutes recovering so it means he would be unable to play full back.
if he was to play as a prem 8, his side will need to have the ball the majority of the the time. You know, like Pochettino intended.

In Conte's 28 games last season, 21 of them saw us inside the top 4 with the remaining 7 in 5th.
The style of football wasn't always great. The actual on pitch success in league games was actually pretty good.

Never got the Trippier thing. Poch needs ultra quick non stop running full backs for his press. Trippier is a great FB but was always getting caught out defensively as he couldn’t meet the demand of Poch’s system. We sold him as he didn’t fit Poch, he probably would have been great for Jose but Trippier is a great example of players and managers fitting.

Hojbjerg probably won’t fit Ange so it’s time to go.

Good player but very much a Jose player. Leader and great off the ball but not a guy for possession football.

Athletico under Simeone is perfect for him.
Much like Trippier it’s a sale where everyone wins. The player the buyer and seller.

Sarr needs a chance I feel. Let’s see if he can make the step up. PEH funds can go towards Tapsoba and Scott

I don’t regret the club selling Trippier. I regret that the club didn’t prepare a replacement better.

PEH is fine. Not as bad as everything makes him out to be, but not good enough to build around either.

If we get a good bid, we should sell.

I agree he won’t fit Ange’s system. I just think people slate him because it’s Hojbjerg. He’s not the worst midfielder we have, but made out to be a horrific player.
