Perhaps they’re just cunts?
You don't fucking boo your own players FFS!!! Unless they throw the shirt on the ground and spit on it!
Will Forte Reaction GIF by The Lonely Island

No players plays bad on purpose, they always do their best!
And if they are not good enough, it's not their fault. It's on the people who brought them here, not on the players!

Booing is nothing but contraproductive against your own. 100% of your players will get worse by it.

Boo the Chairman, boo the board, boo the DoF, boo the manager, but don't fucking boo the players!

If you boo your own players you're a ignorant cunt, and should deal with yourself!

PEH is fit, and a professional, and there are obvious doubts about NDombele in both respects that he would need to overcome.

But NDombele is a player who is confident on the ball, who turns positively and looks to be aggressive going forward. This is, from all the evidence, exactly what NDombele wants in a midfielder. PEH did what was asked of him for sure by Jose and Conte, which involved a whole lot of bouncing the ball from the central defenders straight back to them. He and Dier practically dug a groove in the pitch from their passing. And it's fair to think that maybe he's just not the right style of player going forward.
Very little evidence that Ndombele of talent and form still exists, that's why he's been out of loan. While PEH is nowhere near as talented ,as you said he did do as asked and he did put effort in. There just seems to be an injustice there.

Okay, let's run through a quick scenario.

You buy three lower cost players for 30 million or less (I can't believe that's a lower cost now apparently) for a total of 90 million and you have a hit rate of 33%, where one of the three is a real standout and a great deal.

You buy two 70 million pound players for a total of 140 million and you have a 50% hit rate, ones great and ones a dud.

You act like it's a bad thing but the first option actually nets you the same amount of additive players to your team and financially you're in a better position both in terms of the transfer fee and likely in weekly wages.
Thanks, I couldn't be arsed to do this.

But it ain’t my money bro.

And I don’t know what a budget is… I buy every single item at the grocery store even if I don’t need it.

Actually depends upon who we can get to join as his replacements as his departure would leave us with Bentancur (out injured until November ?), Bissouma, Skipp, Sarr and White : too few in number to play a 3 in midfield if that is way Ang wants.

Hojbjerg has critics but is hardworking and rarely injured etc. For the Denmark team he is played further forward and look a whole lot better player, so its been Mourhino/Conte's decision to play him the way he has been.

Nonetheless I'd be happy to see a new midfield player who is more creative but still defensively sound come in to join that group. Still not sure if Maddison will be played as the most forward of the 3 CM's or not and that might dictate what sort of CM we bring in to replace Hojbjerg.
The replacement depends on how Ange sees Bissouma.

If he’s an 8, we need a 6, if he’s a 6, we need an 8.

He’s also, like it or not, going to have crack at getting Tanguy going. Although I suspect coming on for Maddison around the 60m Mark.

No bubble was burst. I know full well what our club will and will not do. My point was, you don't fix a shitty defence and win trophies with B-listers.

See what happens with our CB situation. You never know...we could get Tapsoba and/or VdV and/or Tosin in and they could well become workd class at Spurs.
Agree with you that you don't fix a shitty defence with "B-listers"

But years of neglect, and now no European football, it will be almost impossible to attract the "A-listers" sadly.

Having said that, i think we should absolutely TRY to go for the "A-listers", we now got the money to do it!

Levy really has put us in a real bad situation now. Starting when he refused to back Poch. At the time we were flying we were maybe only 2-4 really good signings away from establishing us as a big European force, and a domestic contender!

Since then it's been slowly downhill for 4-5 years! We haven't cleared any deadwood at all, and not signed any major players.

Now we sadly have to start all over again because of it! And we surely don't have the pull we had under the Poch Glory Days.

Now we are(me included) begging on our knees that we sign BOTH Tapsoba and Van de Ven, players from what you call the "B-list". That's saying something!

And i'm not gonna judge anything/anyone before they have gotten a fair chance. But i suspect we are probably in need of higher calibre CB's than those two to get us out of this mess!

And i suspect we need 3 CB's not 1

Interesting who we might go for if we spend a decent chunk on a Hojbjerg replacement. K Thuram, Caqueret, Mats Wieffer. Locatelli or Koopmeiners?

Edson Alvarez will be linked but he's overrated imo. Don't think his performance scales up to quality opposition. Gallagher would be alright as a high energy, pressing 8 who chips in with goals.. don't particularly rate him as a high level player tbh, think Palace was the perfect level for him and said as much at the time. Samardszic is talented, cheap, not sure he's ready for a big step right now though and more of a 10. Amrabat is good but he's nearly 27, good but not great, Hojbjerg'ish level. Quite like Dion Lopy who plays under Will Still at Reims, but he's young, needs another year or two playing every week.

Bissouma is absolutely a 6.

I'm pretty sure Skipp is a 6 too.

Sarr is the question, I think, as well as whether Kulu is a winger or is capable of tucking in as an 8.

I think in any event when everybody is fit it will be Bentancur Bissouma Maddison across the midfield.
