I don't know what Joao Felix people think they have seen but he's a really good player, he signed for the wrong team in Atletico and has been playing under a defensive minded coach and when he went to a shit Chelsea where are very player was poor, he'd find his way under an attacking/expressive coach.
I dunno man, he's been given a LOT of chances and never did anything to merit that ridiculous fee in the first place.

He just kind of seems like an ephemeral lightweight flair player whose odd bits of brilliance don't ultimately add up to making his team any better.

More ITK
And, of course, this is all totally new to all of us :D Did anyone know that Tapsoba will cost more than van de Ven? Did anyone know that Tosin and Lenglet may join? Did anyone know that an more expensive player will affect the budget differently than a cheaper one?
I had a Eureka moment just now

It's still all up in the air the last I heard. As I mentioned, VdV is much simpler to do, we know what it will take to get him and the club feel that's good value. We haven't given up on Tapsoba and continue to try and find a solution. Currently they're asking for too much money but there has been progress. The club are trying to line up both deals. Tapsoba is highly rated by many at the club, they feel he could be huge.

But speculating on the combinations of defensive reinforcements right now would be just that. There is a chance we could bring both in if we could clear the decks. There is a chance it's just one of them with the likes of Tosin and Lenglet also coming in. The club will try and line up both deals and then make a call on who they want and how that affects the rest of the budget and plans. It's clear that Tapsoba would cost more than VdV.

I like the look of both defenders, but if I had to choose I would go all in on Tapsoba and then try for Tosin. That doesn't mean I don't want VdV, I think he has huge potential. But if we are looking for an immediate impact, a back 2 of Romero and Tapsoba with Tosin as back up and then maybe Dier as 4th choice before he leaves next Summer would be absolutely fine with me.

I have no issue selling PEH. It’s good to see us sell a player with value.

But the replacement needs to be good and someone that can hit the ground running. Not a development opportunity.

An immediate starter.

Replacement?

I think the club have already replaced him, why do we need another defensive midfielder to add to our collection?

If we sell PEH I will be so happy. This is our last chance to get decent value for him, another season being found out under another manager and he would join the list of Diers, Sanchez's, et al that we can't fucking shift for any money.

Depends on fee and wage, 50m - 60m and 50m players wage level seems about right. Anything else and you are paying for potential.

(I like him)

Fair enough.

I’m still not sure the club is convinced with Sarr, but if he’s in our plans then we don’t need to replace him. Put those funds towards another CB.
He's not going to be ready overnight but with Sarr I think we have to ask what's his ceiling? Looking at his build his ball carrying and passing, I'd say as high as his mentality allows and considerably higher than Skipp.

His performance in the San siro when you consider the circumstances the coach, his lack of regular game time, was brilliant. He is a fine young prospect. He is going to come unstuck he did against Newcastle (but he was also thrown under the bus by the coach) he was the only player to show bravery and composure when coming in against a rampant Woolwich With us getting our butts handed us in particular the hero Hojbjerg .

But I'd ask you lads to honestly look at where we are.. its groundhog day, we are back to Pochettino's first season and he's a higher base than Bentaleb and Mason. For context by the time we are a ECL team proper again, I think Dorrington and Devine will be getting first team minutes. So in short we will have to go back to advance and patience from all concerned will be required. Not the bullshit Royal had to overcome.
