The Double Side was full of stars, what happened to John was an absolute tragedy, so young

Club should be amongst it, but lack of ambition has caused us not to be.

I remember that day well, spent it in shock. I, used to watch that team and due to the extraordinary circumstances in which John lost his life and that the side broke up subsequently, the word ‘cursed’ became widespread during that time.

My old man adored John White. When he told us his bedtime stories about that double winnings side, John White was prominent.
It was those stories that made me a Spurs fan before I even understood Football.
