Match Tottenham Hotspur vs Shakhtar Donetsk, Sunday 6th August, 14:00

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Very enjoyable match that. Affordable match day for me and the family for a change.

Very impressed with Maddison, and Kulu looked sharp too. Kane - personally, I want the pleasure of seeing him for another season regardless of the money.

Our defence is still well suspect so I think we are going to be in for a bumpy, if entertaining, ride for the intial few games.

Was just so nice to actually enjoy watching us play for a change.

Enjoyed that game.
The whole system that Ange has installed is ( imo ) about ALL players taking much more responsibility, all happy to receive the ball and shift it quickly.
Great to see Scarlett crack in the last one, it kind of shows the system works to a degree.
A big difference compared to Conte's style is that Ange does not want his players to be afraid of making mistakes.

That's going to do a lot for the players confidence and willingness to try something ambitious. Fumbling a pass or dribble is not going to get you banished to the youth ranks.

I know I shouldn't say this..but I've felt it for sometime. He's the real deal, he'sa focused driven talent young man with no obvious personality issues...and he had watched Kane way more closely than a few of his contemporaries. He will be a starting centerforward for Spurs.
He has the tools, both athletic and technical, but he needs to tie it off together in a consistent way, we need to find him a good loan and hope he starts showing his level consistently.

I did. Says I'm not a member of this prediction community. Sort it out!

Likewise, the kid has got ‘it’ and seems grounded so injury aside, if we properly develop him he has a big future.

That's just playing time and natural aging in a club that play good football. Your spot on a season setting it alight then back home. To form a world breaking partnership with the Argentine lad. Plan sorted.

Did Kane show his level consistently when on his many loan deals though for example?
When he came back to us I wasn't exactly convinced we had a mouth-watering prospect on our hands. Little did I know...!
