Safe to say that, despite the limited number of preseason games, Big Ange has the team playing in the style he wants. The big question now is how we'll fare trying it against Premier League opponents (and with Micky slotting into the backline). Genuinely excited for next weekend.

Returned from BBQ ( food good, weather not so much). Thought I’d watch full match on SpursPlay; no idea when that drops but no sign yet. Annoyingly they tell you about Kane’s 4th goal in the headlines, so it completely spoils the result. So, I watched the extended highlights then came here for the lowdown. My 3 takeaways;
Maddison is going to be special for us.
There are some absolute trolls on here who talk crap about the team regardless, I assume just to get a rise out of people. Everyone‘s opinion is valid, but think I’m going to have my first go at the ignore function, cause it’s getting very, very boring and predictable.
We may not have everything in place but enough has changed about this team to make me very excited for the new season. Cannot wait.

Strange, I know
Just got home from the game. Thought we started quite slowly and not with the urgency I was expecting, although we did have all of the ball as expected. Was sat behind the dugout and Ange was visibly pissed off every time Romero / Hojberg slowed the game down. Second half much better and although Kane got the goals, Maddison was the best player on the pitch and the one trying to make things happen. Finally an Eriksen replacement but he also seems to have quicker feet / better dribbling ability than I expected having not watch much of Leicester. Good day out all in all. Got tickets for Sheff United and Liverpool but refuse to pay adult prices for a kid on the exchange for the United game, so going to have to give that one a miss. Things are looking up 
There's a bunch of possibilities:
- Game-time for VDV.
- Perhaps Romero gets 45mins?
- With it doubtful Davies starts v Brentfor, maybe he does a shift at LB and balances us up against Porro on the other side?
With Ange having indicated he's already made his mind up about some players leaving; it would be a bit pointless rolling out a bunch of them in defense; esp. if they're gonna kill how we play and end up rendering the broader exercise a waste of time.
....Mentally, it's gonna do no-one any good to get our arses spanked 10-0 on the eve of the new season.
The MFs & Fwds; sure he won't want to over play them this early, but I suspect - for the back 4 - at most he'll mix and blend between starters and back-ups expected to stay and subs a few in and out througout.....
I don't really know if it'd do anyone any good throwing VDV in after maybe a day of training. And it's definitely too much for Romero, he looked like he nearly picked up an injury today.
I will never understand this weird very personal hatred of some of our players.
