I bet Madueke is delighted he signed for them! Lol. At some point players, particularly younger ones will wise up that this is a player farm not a football club Boehly is running.

It's not even a farm. Chelsea is an asset stripping tool for the Saudi's to get talent from Europe to their league.

They see football as a way to diversify out of Oil long term and currently have to overpay in a big way to attract talent.

Now they can invest in clearlake, that money is spent on chavs players, those players then end up in Saudi.

If Olise's release clause gets triggered they'll price us way out of Eze. They probably will anyway since they're expecting Olise to go either now or very soon. If they lost both in 1 window they're strong candidates for relegation and they probably know that. Zaha leaving will impact them as well, I actually think since we don't have to negotiate a price Olise is the smart pickup, provided his head hasn't been turned by City already. Think he would fit this system better than Kulu on the right which gives us the chance to try him in the 8 role or just use him as a utility player.

Thing with Olise.... People want goals from the wide-men...... He's only scored 2 per season in the EPL since arriving.

Agree but no one to blame but ourselves on Porro (i assume thats the other one). They knew Conte was going and signed Porro anyway. Thought it was folly at the time. As for Richarlison, i just cant see it. He doesnt have any outstounding attributes to mark him out. At the moment Son should be our striker imo.

We don't know what convos took place either way in Dec/Jan, but I wouldn't be at all suprised if Conte said "I'll stay if you give me who I ask for" and then left anyway.... Esp. with the added factors of his health and his mates dying.

Let's be real here..... Spending 40m quid on Porro when we had Spence to try is hardly Levyism in it's purest fabled form.

He’s just a body. Weak and no cutting edge. Would much rather that squad role went to Devine

There's that innocuous phrase again..........

In the past; you've reluctantly conceded that PEH is good enough to be a "squad player" but still shit your pants at the mere thought of him starting a game........ We saw exactly the same with Winks, Davies, Dier & Dav at one point or another....... Skipp & Rich getting that treatment is just around the corner too.

I’ve changed on PEH, consistently inconsistent. That’s established

Surely a young, energetic, promising yoot is the perfect squad player? Not forever, but this season and certainly up to Xmas, why not

It’s wild how things have changed. Plenty of summers at Spurs in the late ‘80s, early ‘90s, two players in and couple out would be considered a busy summer.

....And none of the side-show bullshit of endless fake rumours and ITK twats; leaving fans absessed with contracts, clauses, trf fees, wages and outspending the oppo etc......... Just an announcement in the morning paper when a deal was as good as done.

Lol, just running through the transfer news… seen Gold say that the focus is on selling players and shifting deadwood, with 7 marked for sale.

Literally ONLY at Tottenham Hotspur under ENIC could we sell our best forward in the modern era for £100m, and then turn around and say that we “need to sell to buy”…

More to do with the bloated size of our squad than needing to 'sell to buy'. It's not exactly hidden news that our squad is too big, so therefore...we need to get rid of players. That's obvious.

There is no net spend per window. That's just for TV graphics that sky and the crew use to get interactions.

In real terms we paid 6m to Juve for Kulu this window and probably about 10m to Sporting for Porro.

VDV will be in installments as well.

A lot of what we have to spend will be based on how much Bayern paid up front for Kane and by the sounds of it, Levy rinsed them.

Now we're talking...... Go get 'em, fam!
