That's almost as simplistic in approach in doubting Postecoglou because he has never manged in a top league.

Or wondering why we were after a South Korean defender from the Chinese League or a Georgian footballer.

Orbans goalscoring record, regardless of league, is impressive but his profile suits Ange perfectly. Great movement, ability to get his shots off quickly, great shift in his body to create that space. Basically, three things that Richarlison doesn't excel in.

There's a reason Orban gets rave reviews, yet someone like Onuachu, who dominated that league, didn't. It's because he's a good footballer.

I don't for a single second think we'll be keeping Scarlett at the club this summer. Once Orban signs, he's going out on loan. Hopefully a good one this time where he can show he can score goals at men's level.

Don’t even mind if it’s a wide player as opposed to an out and out 9. Would just be wonderful to sign one of those players where you think ‘shit, he’s brilliant’.

Inject a bit of excitement into the team.

I should add that I have zero clue who that player would be.

He's still a punt, and if he we buy him in the next couple of days, he isn't just going to come and be second striker in front of Son, he will have to prove himself first.

They are not being used because the woman in question dropped the charges and is now having a kid with greenwood which is all kinds of fucked up.

Maybe inform yourself of the facts before having your say on the matter.

Woodgate was bought some 20+ years ago in a different time - but he still had a lot of adverse press coverage at the time, and rightly so. It was a one off incident, as I recall it, outside a night club - ie was not some part of ongoing abuse.

The only 'mitigation' coming out at the time was that Bowyer was the main culprit with Woodgate being an accomplice - but (rightly) given a sentence which was community service,

He's seemingly never been in trouble since.

Spurs bought him some 8 years after the affray, when he had largely been rehabilitated through serving a sentence and keeping 'his nose clean',, playjng for Real Madrid amongst others, as he has done ever since.

Social media being what it is, I suspect Spurs check on players a lot more than they used to

Kane had many many fans say he was not a PL player even after he had scored 3 goals in his first ever 7 PL starts.

IMO he's very young to try to play in PL, but he has a much better physique than a year ago, so its difficult to tell

Should just be a wage cap simple as the NFL and all American sports have that spot on. Fuck having a draft system but it would stop all this bollocks and level the playing field out cause ATM Chelsea are taking the piss

Shevchenko, Torres, Morata, Werner, Lukaku, they do it like every year.

I will say, while there have been endless massive flops of player who couldn't make it at the sharp end of the Premier League, Ndombele is tracking in a direction where he might not make it anywhere in football, and I can't think of many at that kind of price where that has been the case.

David Bentley was another with a huge fee at the time. We have form here.

What in the jesus mother of christ did I just read?!?! I knew it was pretty damning, but not that fucking damning. How on earth has he been cleared? This is the equivalent of VAR dismissing the goal Lampard scored against Germany in the 2010 world cup. Maybe I've missed the chat but seriously how on earth has been cleared? This is crystal clear evidence of his intent to have sex with a woman against her will....

You forgot the original one - Winston Bogarte who saw out his 5 year Chelsea contract @ £40k pw about 20 years ago (so probably £400k pw now) making about 12 appearances in that time.

Lived in a caravan (obviously confused Chelsea and West Ham, but who wouldn't !)
