Considering Kane’s departure was delayed whilst we got our house in order it’s been pretty much radio silence for the last fortnight with no incomings or outgoings.

There never seems to be any urgency with Spurs. We’re one injury (Romero) away from alarm bells in central defence, the same at full back, I would argue we’re light in central midfield already (Skipp’s no Bissouma), no pace out wide and toothless through the middle (Richarlison lacks any killer instinct).

We dominated possession in the second half against Brentford without creating anything significant whereas they had the best chances overall and should have won the game. We need a spark both out wide and through the middle plus more depth.

He looks good, any idea what position he plays at?

He did nothing for A Madrid then moved to Wolves on loan before signing for an eye watering €50m or so. A lot of money for a striker with a poor goal return.

His goal record in the league in both Germany, Spain and England (most recent first):

2 in 17
6 in 29
7 in 27
5 in 21
2 in 25

I thought we should have shuffled the front 3 earlier, push Richy out to the left, bring Son through the middle and sub Kulu for Solomon during the 2nd half.

We had a ton of possession but kept slowing the game down allowing Brentford to just park the bus, Richy was too predictable, Son wasn't firing out wide and Kulu looked tired as the half went on.

Also Skipp had a woeful game, Sarr should have come on earlier. One thing's for sure, Bentacur can't come soon enough.

I watched some YouTube reels of that Gift Orban and yeah he looks strong, massive gamble and those reels only ever show the positives, but as said earlier, worth a punt at that price, or bring Dane Into rotation, either way we need to do something as it's obvious the issues of breaking down teams that we have is still there, and amplified now with Kane gone.

Saudi Arabia Love GIF

Saudi Arabia loves meeeeeeeeeeeee.

Being more unpredictable than Kulu isn’t hard.

We need to be aiming a LOT higher than these kind of players unless they’re very squad level and we need competition for Kulu, not squad depth.

Interesting that during preseason in terms of getting dangerous crosses into the penalty area that Perisic was the most consistent at doing so. I would therefore try Kulusevski on the left, Solomon on the right and Son through the middle.
