You say that, but Dav & Perisic (and likely GLC) seem to have earned themselves a reprieve..... Likewise for a flash moment it seemed like Ndombele might (until he got the mildest of knocks and reverted to type). Reg was given game-time throughout the entire pre-season too (yet seemingly failed his audition).

The fact is what might have seemed cut and dried to us fans won't have done to any pro worth their salt.... If they had the chance to assess up close then they're wise to do so(***). Ange himself said he wanted to run rule over the whole squad so honestly; what is there to debate here? The process has been perfectly evident.

(***....And what kind of view does Ange really get watching these lads fail at playing Conte/Jose-ball anyway?)

Even with Dier we started the summer assuming he'd stick around and now it looks like - as the process has played out - he now feels like he may not have a present here (let alone a future).

I take your point about Winks; but perhaps he saw the writing on the wall and actively wanted a move.... Perhaps his time in Italy exposed him to the realisation that he didn't want to be a bit-part anymore.....?

So who does that leave?

Rodon (Already loaned)
Sess (Injured - No dice.)
Gil (Injured - No dice.)
Lloris (just a matter of when.... No fee likely; so who gives a shit?)
Spence (Only just added to the trf list)

I understand the frustration, BUT I'm not the slightest bit suprised that our crappiest crap hasn't been moved yet...... The dregs and loans usually move latest in the window once the trickle through from all the big deals has gone on.
Funny that pretty much all the dross (bar Sanchez) haven't made the cut.

Could have saved himself a lot of time and just asked some Spurs fans on day 1 which players needed shifting.

30 mill and Spence for Johnson might be enough. Good competition for Kulu
30 mill for Gift
25 mill Schuurs

60 mill - Wild card Eze if hojbjerg, ndombele, devine(on loan) leaves

Tier 23 ITK

My concern every time we sack a coach is the clean slate these wasters all get

145m in new money spent on top of the 55m current net spend
Can't see any issues here

Dav, Perisic, GLC........ Dier looks out now whereas at first he wasn't.

(Perhaps re-read what you just quoted...... You seem to have glossed over the bulk of it.)

Yeh..... Funnily enough; I'm glad as fuck he'll pay NO attention to the wannabe managers and DOFs in the fanbase.

Bollocks. Even at the time we spent 60m, rivals were spending 80-100.

We have never bid at the top end of the market. And we will not.

Despite the stadium benefits and being one of the richest clubs around and 100m from the Kane sale. Levy will not do it.
It's not just the fee either. I bet Rice and Ceicedo (sp) are both earning a pretty penny too now. So probably £40m more than we'd pay in fees and another £50m in wages over 5-27 years (Arse Vs Chelsea contract)

Johnson would be such a meh signing.

That's a Villa type deal.

We are nowhere close to dining at the top table.
Is that Purely on a "how much we spend" basis or the Quality of players? As look at some of our latest signings - Maddison, Van de Wen, Bissouma, Bentacaur , Udogie they may not have cost the most but thats some quality signings right there.
The problem with us for me has always been identifying proper targets as we spend the money its just we seemed to spend it on shit!
