Well, at least he can and will take on a man, and at least we know he won’t take three touches then immediately turn around to pass it backwards.

The problem is, I checked, he has the highest turnover % while dribbling in the PL, lowest take-on win %, and he loses the ball numerous ways - loose touches, bullied off the ball, diving, meh end product.

Live ball turnovers like that, where a winger is dispossessed, will lead directly to trouble with Ange’s defensive system.

As I said, flibity gibit.

Paredes for 4 million is an absolute steal.

Sanches on those terms isn’t half bad either.

Very solid business from Roma. I would take Paredes at Spurs for that price in a heart beat. Would be an excellent option as a ball playing 6.
Back to Roma, interesting...

You'd think he has an Italian/EU passport by now and that he'd count as a domestic player for them.

He has to be such a waste of space for so many mangers to want rid of him!

classic case of ‘it’s them, not me’ syndrome.

Other teams seem to shift theirs. Tanganga would still make a passable lower prem player. There has been interest in Lo Celso and Hojbjerg. They're clearly not shit, just not right for us. No fan of Sanchez but he'll be cheap. Lloris on a free? Some i get, Ndombele and Reggie for example but its all painfully slow like 95% of what we do.
Part of our problem in shifting players over the last few years has been the revolving door of managers.

Each and every one have said, rightly, that they “want a good look at the players before deciding who stays and goes”.

That’s why at times it feels like some of our players have had multiple fresh opportunities and even a lot of our fans have convinced themselves that sub-standard players can be rejuvenated under the “right system” (see latest rhetoric on Sanchez).

If Ange is here for a longer period, we’ll slowly see this squad become his over the course of a few windows and more of more players exit the club.

I really want this bloke to be a long term fit for us…….

Gent is a great town. However you have to put up with Belgians who do things like not pronouncing the s in “ananas” and saying “nonante” instead of quatre-vingt dix so I suspect a french speaker can’t wait to get the hell out.

Bienvenue à Londres, Gift.

I've been incredibly busy since Friday, can I get a TLDR of the last 100+ pages?
Sold Kane to Germany. Everybody cried.

Reports are that Spurs are now focused on sales and trimming the squad. Ndombele, Lloris, Dier, Reguilon, a few others. Hojbjerg possibly off to Atleti.

only real concrete link on incomings is to 21 year old Gift Orban at Gent, young striker prospect who appears to be a mix between Aguero and Callum Wilson (depending on your level of optimism/pessimism)
