We should be able to afford both another top CB AND attacking reinforcements. We already have two top CBs for this system, and our attackers are not great.

Sure, and we should also get Mbappe, but in reality we have budget limits. We should be able to afford both another top CB AND attacking reinforcements.
Definitely make us stronger
When did I say VdV needs to be replaced??Spurs have Romero and van de Ven as starting CB, so at least give ven de Ven a few games beforey you decided that he needs to be replaced. And Romero's already proven himself.
So, unless Spurs sell Romero, I don't see the need to spend £60m for another CB.
What Spurs need now - after selling Tanganga, Dier and Sanchez - are two quality (preferably young and HG) understudy CBs
They'd be dumb to sign for West Ham, at worst they could move to another strong team next season.
I'd still have him over Lenglet which is the only other CB we've been consistently linked to,
Tosin links gone completely dead and not linked with anyone else right now, in an ideal world you'd get in Tapsoba but I'm saying if we have to settle on a cheap/free backup CB we could do a lot worse.
Budget limits??Sure, and we should also get Mbappe, but in reality we have budget limits.
It's a disaster if it stays as it is because we've lost Kane, and not done enough to reinforce our squad. It's a bit OTT to describe a window including 3 new 1st teamers as a "disaster".
Perhaps one might see if that way if one was expecting a big squad to be completely revamped in Ange's image in a single window; no loose ends allowed.... But that isn't realistic.
That's not to say we don't need more done... We of course do.
Why not?
Which is both true and yet vastly different to what you originally said.
You have a recurring habit of going big with what you say (to hell with truth at time) only to find yourself having to climb down in your subsequent post(s)...... Here we are again.
He isn't.
....So?
What are you rambling about, no-one's disputed that it would be preferable to have someone other than Levy doing the negotiations again.
To reiterate:
You don't have a correct understanding of what "criminal" means.
Also, you don't have a correct understanding of Paratici's punishment.... He's not "officially banned from the sport".
He's not "in the slammer" either.... That's just childish.
"If you discount the money that we spent we haven't spent money"Budget limits??
If you discount making loans permanent, we have made a profit in this window so far. Woolwich have a net spend of over £150m...
It's iambic pentameter. You uncultured oaf!
I am not against the idea but Spurs are not Chelski or Man City who'll splash that money on an understudy. And I doubt Tapsoba will come to sit on Spurs' bench, particularly now without any European football. When did I say VdV needs to be replaced??
I said we should have 3 quality CBs in our squad, and Tapsoba would be the third.
We've already had this debate on this thread numerous times- it's getting repetitive now."If you discount the money that we spent we haven't spent money"
Purely rhetorical in my answer; but if Tosin doesn't like the smell of our bench; why would Tapsoba?
People insisted it needn't be a factor when all the talk was of VDV and Tapsoba, but clearly it is for some players.

Do you understand that 60m that we spend on strengthening our bench is 60m that won't be spent on strengthening our first XI, or are you just gonna say "nooo just spend more money" like you're twelve. We've already had this debate on this thread numerous times- it's getting repetitive now.
I've already explained why it makes far more sense to count Kulu and Porro spend as part of previous spend rather than this year. The loan with future buy is just an accounting trick.
The actual important thing for this window is buying players that improve the squad. Kulu and Porro were both already part of the squad.
And even if you count Kulu and Porro- we've still spent around £100m less than Woolwich. So the idea we shouldn't get Tapsoba because we can't afford him is risible.
