You're not. Doku is an unbelievable player.. I'd have him in a heartbeat.Im probably in the minority here but id much rather get Doku than Eze for the money being banded about plus Doku is an attacker rather than an attacking midfielder

Bruno Genesio is also the only manager to get a consistent tune out of Tanguy.
I'm not saying 'nooo just spend more money', am I?Do you understand that 60m that we spend on strengthening our bench is 60m that won't be spent on strengthening our first XI, or are you just gonna say "nooo just spend more money" like you're twelve.
Serious cope from those arguing against this. Why not?
We're one injury away from having Dier or Sanchez starting.
Romero can be injury/ suspension prone.

Eze must be a possibility ? Although Palace might offer a big pay rise too ?
Go for Tapsoba and we have 3 quality CBs.
All other top clubs have strength in depth.
Do you think Tapsoba would sign if he will be sitting on the bench? When did I say VdV needs to be replaced??
I said we should have 3 quality CBs in our squad, and Tapsoba would be the third.

...so does that mean if we DON'T end up buying Lenglet, that - by default - also improves the squad?I've already explained why it makes far more sense to count Kulu and Porro spend as part of previous spend rather than this year. The loan with future buy is just an accounting trick.
The actual important thing for this window is buying players that improve the squad. Kulu and Porro were both already part of the squad.
And even if you count Kulu and Porro- we've still spent around £100m less than Woolwich. So the idea we shouldn't get Tapsoba because we can't afford him is risible.
That's the job of the manager. 3 quality CBs when we're competing in 3 competitions over a season is not an issue, especially given Romero being injury/ suspension prone. You still have to convince any individual that our bench isn't a bad place to be..... Esp. with no Europe to spread the minutes around.
In this system VDV is probably better than Tapsoba. 3 quality CBs is well and good, but right now we have 2 good starting CBs, which is more than I can say for our wingers.I'm not saying 'nooo just spend more money', am I?
Can you read? I've named a specific player that we should spend 60m on- Tapsoba.
And I think Tapsoba will be able to get into our first XI, and our squad also should have 3 quality CBs.
Olise signs new deal and they sign Worzel Gummage all on same day. Great day for Palace fans.
Yes, I support the decision to not buy Lenglet....so does that mean if we DON'T end up buying Lenglet, that - by default - also improves the squad?
What if neither get injured or suspended? Why not?
We're one injury away from having Dier or Sanchez starting.
Romero can be injury/ suspension prone.

The priority absolutely should be starting winger and striker rather than spending big on cb. We need another CB but if we’re spending big on anyone it has to be a winger imo.Go for Tapsoba and we have 3 quality CBs.

I'd much prefer to be in a position where we have a selection headache with 3 quality CBs, than be worried about Dier/Sanchez coming in when Romero does his hamstring.
