I kinda do, but it's not a reflection on the player himself; just the fee and what it may open up in terms of squad places for MF/attacking options.
I'll just be very impressed if all of Lloris, Dier and PEH never take the field for Ange, both for system fit and cultural reasons.

I have no personal animus toward any of them, but they aren't fit for purpose and this hasn't been a club that sees and acts on that in far too long.

But, here we are on August 17th and all three remain on the books. It hangs in the balance.

American sports are one league in one country with no relegation...not sure how that would work, if you cap the wages the players will just go to another league that doesn't. Even with a cap everyone will be doing dodgy deals to pay them more.
This is true. It would require UEFA initiating something broadly. It’s a pipe dream, but all the outrageous transfer fees and wages are getting fucking ridiculous.

What we want in order of preference is probably
- permanent sale for decent fee
- loan covering all wages with obligation to buy at decent fee
- loan covering all or majority wages.

Rennes manager knows Ndombele from from when Ndombele at Lyons.

Fingers, toes and everything else crossed

Knowing Rennes, it'll be a dry loan, unless we can arrange some sort of swap with Doku.

There's still some people who admire and respect Poch btw.
I will always admire and respect what he did for this football club, the prime Poch years were something special and any fan should be proud of what we achieved under him.

However he is employed by a scum club run by a scumbag and Saudis at that. Chelsea are the lowest of the low, criminals in a sport of criminals, fraudsters in a sport of fraud.

They (and their fans) are truly the dregs of humanity and that’s just a fact, not an opinion.

He is banned from doing his job though.

No; he is banned for doing certain tasks.......

He resigned as DOF and is now working for us as a consultant..... He's still working "in the sport".

And FIFA and Italian FA deems him a fraudster, so he is a fraudster and a liar in my eyes.

...And now you're back to chucking about bluster.... Name calling isn't gonna win you a debate that you had lost from post #1.

Obviously he’s not in prison

Yup... Like I said from the start.... Childish.

or under federal investigation so criminal is inaccurate.

Being under federal investigation doesn't make you a "criminal" regardless.

Why, rather than just climb down from the jazzy rhetoric and un-puff your chest straight away, must you turn this whole thing into what's become little more than an English lesson?

Can we be done now pls.......... Exhausting.

Why is Doku a thing now? It's been pretty evident since 2021 what a talent he is.
Cos the internet just said so!

I hate Chelsea so goddamn much

There are days when I truly hate them than I do the Scum even

Steady on old chap!

Are they going to try to have some Luxury Loan Army situation here?

They can corrupt the sport beyond recognition, but I would be surprised if they're allowed more than 11 men on the pitch.

Good move if it happens, I'd rather we went for him than Doku, since he's not as injury prone

Are Chelsea doing a 'Jimmy Savile' ...and hiding their crimes in plain sight?

Why is no one ONTO this?

Romero is 25, VdV is 22 and Tabsoba is 24.

Seeing as we're only likely to be playing two of them, and haven't got CL rotation needs, I'm not sure why we'd spend another £60-80m on a centreback. We've seen in the past that young players signed for potential who don't play, quickly lose a ton of value. Far better to sign a solid experienced defender as cover for one of the main pairing and to assist with their development. I've said it before but signing Naybet made Ledley a better defender.
