Just think BC, if we'd got Grealish all those years ago, we could right now have him AND Madders both in the same team.

Foul voted.

I'm going to go ahead and assume he wasn't predicting that none of our attackers would score.
Yup, just pointing out the basic naivete of assuming you can just replace Kane's contributions by distributing it to other players.

Only about 3/4 teams score more than 70 goals in a season in the PL, the people arguing with me are suggesting that players like Biss, Benta, Udogie, Porro etc. all simultanously match or exceed their best league goal tally in a season. All the while expecting the front line to haul a respectable 30 goals between them.

Prolific WBs rarely score 5 goals in a season FFS.

Yeah I’m sure a skillfull, intelligent player like eze who’s particularly strong at running at players with pace is going to be lost playing LW, just because it’s not exactly the same as LM. Pretty ridiculous to suggest there’s a significant
difference, especially as one managers 4-3-3 can be completely different to the next managers.

The significance is that a LM will typically have LW in front of them.

Taking Eze's primary position onboard; if he came here he'd expected to fullfill a similar function to Maddison....... In our system Maddison plays as one of two advanced CMs (LM & RM if you will.... That's not wingers).

He’s played 1/3 of his career out wide, spending on quality players who can play more than one position is only beneficial to us.

Can't keep bickering about this, but that's a selective notion of "out wide".

(I suspect formational breakdown of each of his 233 appearances isn't conveniently summarised to the extent of detail that you're reaching for; so with that in mind, is it not fair to accept that if TFM have seen fit to differentiate the way they have?)

Wanna slice things another way? If were gonna spend 70-80m on a winger; let's get a specialist winger......

Absolutely.

But we'll get a replacement in - probably Gallagher.
If Hojbjerg is gone I wouldn't mind Gallagher or even Kalvin Phillips.
Could we get any midfielder in to replace PEH in time though? That’s a hell of a lot of burden on Bissouma. We’d probably be OK but I still think we need a real 6 as an option

Also Richard Arlison Richard Arlison

I don't see Either of those two functioning like Biss does as a #6.

Bissouma 0-1 would be a fair prediction. I didn't mention him to score any due to his record.
Bentancur scored 5 in 18 last season. I suggested 4 this season.
Udogie scored 5 in 35 and 3 in 33 as a teenager. My call of 3 was pretty modest.
Porro got 3 in 15 for us, 5 in 29 for both clubs last season. I put down 4.

The numbers I put for the players you mentioned were all lower than their previous tallies.

What's naive is to act like removing Kane's 30 goals makes 70 become 40.
