Some twat yesteday was trying to start a bet with me that we can replace the 30 Kane goals cos our FBs, CMs, will score 5 goals each. Oh yeah, and Richarlison could score 15.

Some people are beyond help.
And you're too chicken to accept. I say we score the same or more goals as last season. £20 to the charity of the winner's choice.

But you won't accept the bet, because all the shit you're posting is exactly that: shit. So come on, big guy. Put your money where your mouth is, since you're so fucking sure.

piss off twat

That's definitely a factor, but the number of unforced errors and basic lack of workrate is hard to attribute to just poor team chemistry.

for instance, Liverpool frequently put out joke lineups for this competition and still win games.

For the first 3/4 years of Klopp that wasn't true....... It's only the last 2 seasons that they've had decent domestic cup runs.

I'm sure if we gave Ndombele 20m quid he'd happily fuck off but that sets a seriously bad precedent with everybody else we want rid of.......

NDOMBELE: YEARS LEFT 2 = 20.8m
LLORIS: YEARS LEFT 1 = 5m
DIER: YEARS LEFT 1 = 4.4m
SANCHEZ: YEARS LEFT 1 = 3.3m
REGUILLON: YEARS LEFT 2 = 5m
TANGANGA: YEARS LEFT 2 = 2.6m
SESSENGON: YEARS LEFT 2 = 6m
PERISIC: YEARS LEFT 1 = 9.2m
PEH: YEARS LEFT 2 = 10.6m
SPENCE: YEARS LEFT 4 = 5.2m
GIL: YEARS LEFT 3 = 6M

= £78.1m

Ouch.
If we loan or just accept nominal fees
SANCHEZ: YEARS LEFT 1 = 3.3m
REGUILLON: YEARS LEFT 2 = 5m
TANGANGA: YEARS LEFT 2 = 2.6m
£0

Write off
NDOMBELE: YEARS LEFT 2 = 20.8m
LLORIS: YEARS LEFT 1 = 5m
DIER: YEARS LEFT 1 = 4.4m
£30.2m

Sell PEH
+£30M + Save £10.6 =£40.6

Keep perisic
Gill try, and then loan/sell
Can basically balance the net loss to about 0 assuming Spence / sess should be able to loan/sell
All while clearing the decks.

Not quite as bleak (though should also consider what the value on the books for each are as well. Guessing ndombele, gill, spence, maybe sess still adds 10m+ to that

But frankly, I would say that means the most painful part of the rebuild is then done in 1 go.
Still have a money printing machine (and cash injection left overs, and kane, etc) to buy a couple of good ready for first team squad now players. And, room for pathways for what looks like a pretty good crop coming through.
Sure, it's a fucking shit show given we were CL regulars and finalists.... But, if we keep buying more udogies, sarrs, bissoumas, bentancurs, maddisons than sissokos.. Despite the oh not again shit show of Fulham, fati, etc, taking a step back it's not as bleak as maybe we think..

Clubs are able to sign good players when they already have good players. Even when they don’t have Europe.

Yeh, wasn't making such a simplistic claim as that......

.........But at the same time (for just one of MANY examples); you honestly think Fati goes to Brighton if we had Europe and they didn't?

A player like Biss isn't everyday squad-fodder..... Those attributes are gold-dust;

At least it was very very fucking funny this evening watching the 'ITKs' on SC jump hard onto the Fati train (after already reported in the media. Funny that) only to suddenly find themselves in the mud as he suddenly looks to be going to Brighton.

Bissouma 0-1 would be a fair prediction. I didn't mention him to score any due to his record.
Bentancur scored 5 in 18 last season. I suggested 4 this season.
Udogie scored 5 in 35 and 3 in 33 as a teenager. My call of 3 was pretty modest.
Porro got 3 in 15 for us, 5 in 29 for both clubs last season. I put down 4.

The numbers I put for the players you mentioned were all lower than their previous tallies.

What's naive is to act like removing Kane's 30 goals makes 70 become 40.
You're still asking for players to get close to or exceed their best ever seasons across multiple different positions. That's an incredibly unlikely scenario.

Sure, maybe 2/3 of them could, but to expect so many to repeat it is extremely optimistic. E.g. Bentancur scored 2 Serie A goals in his 5 seasons with Juve but you're citing a half-season where he managed to score 5, an outlier. You might argue he was playing a different role but surely he's not gonna play such an incredibly attacking role for us that it makes that stat worthless. In any case, he'll be out till Jan/Feb, if he even returns to his old self.

You're also expecting players like Emerson, Skipp, PEH to score a few when they most likely will get the most token minutes at best. BTW, Skipp has scored only one competitive goal in his Spurs career.

That's just asking for too much from too many different players.
