How is Lloris still at the club despite announcing he was leaving at season end?

Satirizing. Or satirising. You might want to grab that dictionary first.

Yeah, but it would have been funnier if Fati came to us, Højbjerg went to Atleti, and Felix went to Barça.The one possible saving grace of Fati to Brighton is it opens space for Barca to take Felix and they are dumb enough to take him.
That clears salary space for Atleti to take Hojberg
There’s a third option:Well, maybe you and your mates can get together and buy the club and run it properly, eh? Until then, you'll just have to deal with it until ENIC sells like the rest of us.
And these are literally your only two options.

You're still asking for players to get close to or exceed their best ever seasons across multiple different positions. That's an incredibly unlikely scenario.
Sure, maybe 2/3 of them could, but to expect so many to repeat it is extremely optimistic. E.g. Bentancur scored 2 Serie A goals in his 5 seasons with Juve but you're citing a half-season where he managed to score 5, an outlier. You might argue he was playing a different role but surely he's not gonna play such an incredibly attacking role for us that it makes that stat worthless. In any case, he'll be out till Jan/Feb, if he even returns to his old self.
You're also expecting players like Emerson, Skipp, PEH to score a few when they most likely will get the most token minutes at best. BTW, Skipp has scored only one competitive goal in his Spurs career.
That's just asking for too much from too many different players.
I like him, he’s pacey, has a good eye for a pass, dribbles well and can finishNo organic thoughts of your own on him then? Just if Ange likes him I like him? Even though we don't know how sincere the "Ange's choice" reports on this guy even are??
You seem so so sure about your analysis. Then put your money where your mouth is.Yup, just pointing out the basic naivete of assuming you can just replace Kane's contributions by distributing it to other players.
Only about 3/4 teams score more than 70 goals in a season in the PL, the people arguing with me are suggesting that players like Biss, Benta, Udogie, Porro etc. all simultanously match or exceed their best league goal tally in a season. All the while expecting the front line to haul a respectable 30 goals between them.
Prolific WBs rarely score 5 goals in a season FFS.
I guess that is the downside of having the best facilities in world football - nobody wants to leave! haha.
Don't waste your time. I've offered a paltry £20 wager that we'll score 70 or more goals this season and he's too chicken to accept it. Shows you all you need to know about how confident he is in his assertion.Bissouma 0-1 would be a fair prediction. I didn't mention him to score any due to his record.
Bentancur scored 5 in 18 last season. I suggested 4 this season.
Udogie scored 5 in 35 and 3 in 33 as a teenager. My call of 3 was pretty modest.
Porro got 3 in 15 for us, 5 in 29 for both clubs last season. I put down 4.
The numbers I put for the players you mentioned were all lower than their previous tallies.
What's naive is to act like removing Kane's 30 goals makes 70 become 40.
The only players we've managed to shift at this point are the easy ones. Kane, and Spence. All the ones that require work and are going to be difficult because they're not good enough are still here. Our lack of outgoings is perplexing.

The highest earner at Brighton makes about £90k per week. Half the team makes less than £30k.That's assuming that by paying half they get within FFP so they can register other players. My guess is Brighton is footing the bulk of his salary.
I don't. But I also don't think that Barça can afford to pay close to half his salary. So I'm leaning towards the fact that Brighton are footing most of the bill because he'd be on a one-year loan and not a permanent signing. That might help it go down easier in the dressing room. The highest earner at Brighton makes about £90k per week. Half the team makes less than £30k.
Do you honestly think Brighton will pay the bulk of a loanee’s salary of £230k when Mitoma is making £10k? I’m sure that’s going to sit really well in the dressing room.
Our lack of outgoings is perplexing.

Is it really though?
We have a bunch of players that have been performing poorly with their most realistic chances of getting first team football being taking big steps down in terms of club stature and salary.
If you're Dier, Reguilon, Sanchez, Ndombele etc, taking a move to a Fulham, Galatasaray, Genoa or whoever comes in will pretty much end your career at the top level. Professionals ought to believe in their own ability and ought to hold out for what they think is best for them - but no half decent clubs in Europe will want them... but you never know who Atletico Madrid might throw a lifeline to I guess.
As we all know, clubs will speak with players or their representatives about potential moves before even tabling an offer. I know it's trendy and easy (if not lazy) to just blame Levy - but I'm blaming the players for being so fucking shite that no clubs they would want to join are getting in contact with them.
Then I blame their agents for not being the salesmen they require.
If Levy is sitting there rejecting bid after bid for these players that have already agreed in principal to join other clubs that's a different story, but I really don't think that's the case.

Don't like that last line.
They do have European football. It may have been a consideration given that Chelsea and Spurs were rejected.
