If we get Johnson and another CB over the line, then it's been an ok window tbh. But anything less and it's a failure.
It's way to early to claim this window is a failure as it stands right now.
If - I repeat if - Vicario and van den Ven turn into top quality EPL players, Maddison keep playing at the level he is and Kulusevski (yes, he was signed permanently this window) improves a bit and Solomon become a useful "bit player", then you certainly can't say this window was a failure.
Then you got Alejo Véliz and Ashley Phillips.

Yes, Spurs lost Kane but that was expected anyway and was kinda beyond the control of the club (unless they had offered him a crazy Saudi level salary)

How would people feel if as I expect, we sign zero players now?
Nick Jonas Wow GIF by Jonas Brothers

I feel nothing except contempt for the few people still defending this regime in the face of such overwhelming evidence of their incompetence on the pitch.

Tanganga and Ndombele could fill the other two loan spots I guess

Well it seems we are stuck with Dier for his final year then because as I said noone seems to want to buy him. Unless we are willing to accept a small fee, like 1-3 mill just to get him out of the door. That might alert a few more interested buyers

Yeah the loans need to benefit us as in we need to see a return from our investment so that the players come back next year who are hopefully improved - loaning out Dier doesn't benefit us in any way.

What I suspect will happen is that most of these players will still be here and the club after the TW and the club will wait until after the Saudi TW closes (Sept 20th) before they start terminating contracts.

I'm guessing from that POV the players are well within their rights to sit tight and wait for their severance.

A bit disappointed but not dead inside. Compared to the last few seasons we’re actually enjoyable to watch. But this system would work a lot better with a couple of X-factor forwards. Son, Kulu and Richi are decent enough on paper but they don’t get me as hard as Son of a few seasons ago, Kane and someone like Bale. I feel like we need at least one exciting forward before the end of the window for it to be considered a job well done (an extra CB would be optimal too).
