I'm glad not everyone on here is happy about the club settling on mediocrity.

But most of us expected this, as we know this story and how it ends up.It is quite shocking how little ambition we seem to have in the market.
The window has been bungled since the Kane sale.
I'm pretty sure we're being overtaken by every single club beneath us in the table minus maybe the promoted sides and Wolves.
It's just fucking sad.
There is something in our fan base that means no matter how much the evidence points otherwise, they will argue this player is a good signing. We literally tolerate failure and celebrate mediocrity like no other big club.Even more bizarre is how so many of our fans are so desperate to try and justify it
It won't apply to us.Not a massive issue but I thought I would post this anyway:

If Tottenham do indeed add to their squad prior to the 11pm deadline and want new signings to be involved at Burnley, they will need to have registered them by midday on Friday. Premier League rules stipulate that players must be registered by 12pm the working day before a game in order for them to play.

£4m if fully paid up.Realistically could we just terminate Diers contract? And If so how much would that cost?
He said not so long ago he wanted another centre back and thats what we were aiming for. I'm pretty sure he didnt have Lloyd Kelly in mind. I'm sure when we soldKane he expected some good players in. He'll say all the right things in tbe next presser but if it goes tits up in the next 24 hours he's bound to be pissed off. Who knows what damage that does to any longer term vision? They really are such wankers, cant even back a new manager that has restored a bit of hope. But most of us expected this, as we know this story and how it ends up.
The question is, did our manager expect better, I'm fairly certain he did.
yeh he's fast.Lloyd Kelly makes sense. Young, British, left sided and pacey.
Many will look at the fact he plays for Bournemouth and he’s not playing somewhere in Europe, but with our new data driven approach I imagine he fits the bill.

Agree mate, they are total scumbags, just want them to go, they are holding us back.He said not so long ago he wanted another centre back and thats what we were aiming for. That’s why it’s so utterly crucial that we had a good window to replace Kane and set us up for Cl this season. If we get CL somehow (or at least finish top 6), Ange looks like a genius, we get the cash injection, and suddenly our pull is back and we can really make some moves next summer. It is getting very difficult to ignore the emergent strength, ambition and investment of some clubs we've spent the last five years thinking were beneath us permanently, never a realistic assumption.
Villa, Newcastle already miles past never to be seen again, West Ham, Brighton to a disturbing degree.
Not Everton though. Poor, sweet Everton.
He gotta do pre-match press availability early tomorrow right? He said not so long ago he wanted another centre back and thats what we were aiming for. A lot of them have been conditioned by levy to accept medicority. There is something in our fan base that means no matter how much the evidence points otherwise, they will argue this player is a good signing. We literally tolerate failure and celebrate mediocrity like no other big club.
