Matt1882 has an irrational hate of the Academy., so makes up any kind of story to justify his irrationality.

His solution is to close the academy ....... but he's unable to answer the question as to how to get enough Club Trained or other HG players to add to the 17 Overseas trained players in a squad.

He's a decent player. So long as we don't undermine that by playing him in a bollocks fully rotated, dysfunctional B-team then we'll see that in our shirt.

Opportunistic signing? Possibly, but someone that Ange reportedly had his eye on pre-Spurs.

Some will never recognize PEH. They forget he's played the most minutes for Spurs since his arrival.

And this was a constant for almost all seasons he was there. He is what one needs to calm a game down when defending a small lead.

But that will be chalked down to boring Conté/Jose Ball again.

I do wish Sky would fuck off with the 'SLAMS SHUT' rhetoric. There is no slamming involved - there is a window, it is open for a period (known to all concerned for a very long time in advance), then at the end of that window, it closes. No need for the hyperbole.

(PS: Boring self-indulgent note: People talk a lot of shit about doors and windows actually. How many times have I heard someone say 'ah well, when one door closes, another one opens'. No it doesn't. That's not generally how doors work. If your doors work like that, there is something wrong with your house).

(PPS: Yes I have been drinking, so what? It's both Friday and Transfer Deadline Day. :/ ).
