Postecoglou pays tribute to Lloris

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou remained tight-lipped on potential transfers before their trip to Burnley but did pay tribute to Hugo Lloris ahead of his anticipated departure on Friday.
When asked about the 36-year-old, Postecoglou said: "I have only been here a couple of months but Hugo has been excellent throughout the whole process.
"There is no doubt he has had an outstanding career and contribution to this football club. He has been the captain for quite a long time and been very professional, obviously working with (Rob) Burchy and the other goalkeepers.
"He has been helping the others, Vic (Guglielmo Vicario) being the new goalkeeper, so I have nothing negative to say about him and I wouldn't.
"There has been nothing other than him being very, very professional about everything."
Thats Hugo thru and thru .....Ange obviously doesnt think the same about Dire Tanguy etc ... else he would 100% mention them in the same vain too.

I think they'll just cancel his contract TBH.
Sorry to be pedantic, but I hate that expression, it's so far from what is actually meant, and often causes confusion for idiots on this forum... Presumably you mean we will pay him the rest of his contract now, and 'let him go'. His contract won't have been cancelled, just paid up. (No offence intended btw, just my autism-driven pedantry kicking in after a few drinks I think. 😂 ).

That simply isn’t true.
They know that they can’t sell him because he won’t go.
So, a loan with his wages covered effectively gives him a free transfer and no obligation on the club’s part.
BUT HE WONT GO.
You really are obtuse and utterly unable to accept that players have agency. Too much FIFA I suppose.
The reports were Spurs rejected the loan offer.

You don’t like it. I didn’t make it up.

I wonder if Liverpool have "already spent the [Salah] money".......... :ange-hmm:

Be Hilarious if they sell him

theres 1 game a week. no need to rotate they can handle 1 game a week. start messing about with rotating and you just chuck away points. the midfield 3 is perfect, the back 4 is good. dont mess about with them two lines unless you have to through injury.

bentancur is going to struggle to get into the midfield the way it stands. especially as hes months off anyway. a lack of available games has not helped him at all
We play football now. players have to run around and maintain a high intensity. Even the younger fitter ones will struggle to maintain it for 90 minutes even if it's once a week. Ange will, unlike the last 2, make changes every match.

Imagine if a new contract was announced in the morning,
I think this place would explode
I will probably have a stroke.

And not the good kind.

You’re right though, cancelling is an inaccurate and stupid phrase, the correct term is “buyout” and is used by almost every other sport except football for whatever reason
