messing about with the first 11 would be a huge mistake imo. especially the two lines that look absolutely solid. theres going to be like 20% less games this year, its a fucking short season. you want your best players in the zone, you get that from match time, not dropping them in and out of the team and disrupting rhythm.

how many changes did chelsea make to their first 11 the year they won it when they only had domestic football?

gallagher is not on sarr and bissoumas level anyway, hes a fucking little dog.
They went out of the cups early, had no CL (yes I know) and played passive football.

So we still have time for PEH to fuck off and get as a proper CB backup? I haven't seen a lot of him but of the names floating about, Per Schuurs seems like the best option.

Big lad (we need that for set pieces) and seems fast enough, and as a Dutch CB, I assume he's alright on the ball.

If we were to pay off all of Lloris, Dier and Ndombele to go away, we'd have to cough up at least £20m in one go, not even spread out over the year, let alone the remainder of contracts.

And then you'd all moan if we couldn't afford a shiney new signing at CB.
I would have thougth we could negotiate their fees down a bit. For instance pay 70% of what's remaining, so after signing for their new clubs they still come out ahead.

Extremely generous given what we've lost with Harry and the financial clout we should have.
But each to their own opinion, I guess

Yeah I get that.

I think there is a certain lack of talent out there and we need a certain model, which looking at the players we have acquired, might be the intention..

Will it be enough - not sure..

We lack a leader on the pitch and have done for years, and that is not position specific as opposed to a characteristic that rubs off on players.

Win tomorrow and it's a fantastic start, Tuesday aside.

Then we settle and see how we go with the cards we have been dealt..
