They’ve both had good careers here, so I don’t want to be overly disrespectful, but Lloris and Dier really shouldn’t be let back into the training ground.

We’re trying to build a new culture with a new leadership group, having two formerly influential players moping around on the fringes because they can’t arrange a move away will just be massively detrimental to camaraderie and togetherness in the new era.
Yeah, I wonder what they'll do with players that are not named in the 25 man squad. What usually happens?

I'd hate to see Lloris and Dier turning up to training every week knowing they won't be playing. Neither will be putting in effort, and I don't trust Dier to not be a bad influence on the squad.

Maybe not to you it doesn’t constitute a good season but it does to me.

I’m choosing to be optimistic. I damned well ain’t going down the route of so many on here and just focusing on nothing but negativity, doom and gloom.
That’s fine, you said great season not good but I’m certainly not gonna hammer people for being optimistic, I’m feeling pretty optimistic myself (save for the CB situation).

But if we’re being honest a great season won’t be defined solely by the football we play, it’ll need to marry up with results too.

Let’s hope it all comes together!

It’s a 4/10 from me. Had fits when we signed Maddison. Being proven wrong. Lovely footballer.
Vicario gives me fits too, but he’s very much better than Hugo. He was giving me night scares.
Players signed last year looking great (Udogie & Sarr)
Selling Kane and not reinforcing further will likely bite us bad.

Relying on the same “squad” members who have let us down so regularly to carry us when we have injuries and suspensions will damage our chances.

I will support Johnson but for me he is way overpriced and a prospect rather than a sure thing.

Let’s hope we get lucky until the next window and jump early but it’s Spurs &, more importantly, it’s Levy.

Rated a 4 unfortunately.

Mostly for the lack of deadwood outgoings. That’s fucking criminal. Hugo, Dier, Sanchez, PEH, Belly, GLC all bowling around the training ground on massive wages and just, training! All on Levy of course…

I like a lot of our signings tbh but the lack of quality cover at CB is alarming, esp with International Windows incoming 😬

I personally think its insane we didnt get Mcguire for 30 Million from manu.

Of all the managers that could get a tune out of him was big ange. Hes known for it.

Mcguire is an international cb. Just lacks confidence.

cant believe we didnt pick him up.

its not a fashionable thing to say but im right.

Tanganga may be back, Spence and Rodon will definitely be back, if Sessegnon weren't hurt he'd be in the deadwood zone, Lo Celso's only market is skint Spanish clubs, ditto Gil and he has two years left, the Richarlison situation may be in terminal decline and he'd have three years left.

We're not out of the woods yet. But Dier, Lloris, Sanchez, Forster, Austin and Perisic go off the books at the end of the season, and the one we did find a solution for was Winks.
Put like that it sounds very tiring

They've both been great professionals for us and I think should not really be subject to the squad rules as they see it out their time. We will release Lloris and put Dier back in the team the next time there is an injury.

We are delighted to announce the signing of Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest.
The Wales international forward has agreed a deal with the Club that will run until 2029. He will wear the number 22 shirt.

Brennan Johnson has signed a contract with the Club which will run until 2029
Born in Nottingham, Brennan, 22, joined Forest's academy at the age of eight and progressed through the ranks to make his debut against West Brom in the Championship in August, 2019.
He spent a successful loan spell at Lincoln City in 2020/21, where his 13 goals helped the Imps reach the League One Play-Off Final - while his form also earned him a first senior cap for Wales, coming against the USA in November, 2020.
Back at the City Ground, Brennan starred as Forest gained promotion from the Championship into the Premier League in 2021/22. He scored 19 goals in all competitions, including 16 in the league and was on target in both legs of the semi-finals against Sheffield United as Forest returned to the top flight via the play-offs. His performances were recognised by the EFL - he was EFL Young Player of the Month in September, Championship Player of the Month for April and the Championship's Young Player of the Season.
Brennan was ever-present in his first season in the Premier League, contributing eight goals in 38 appearances and another two as Forest reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Capped across all youth levels by Wales, Brennan already has 20 senior caps to his name and was part of Rob Page's squad for the World Cup last year.
