The powers that be at Tottenham treating the fans like absolute mugs once again.

The Johnson deal was probably done ages ago, but we have to have the amateur dramatics of a "last few seconds before the transfer window shuts" saga.

Levy could just say fuck 'em and let them rot for a year. Costs us the same either way.

Lloris and Dier might think they are being clever trying to get a big signing-on bonus as a free agent but how many clubs are going to them if they've not played competive football for a year? They might even go as far as being banned from the training ground.

Think lloris has shown tremendous loyalty to stay at a club despite having the ability to play for a top 5 club in the world.

Give him a respectful exit.

Dier on the other hand has spent a year ducking tackles to avoid putting his body on the line.

I don’t care about “marquee” signings. I care about effective additions. Maddison and VDV look to fit that bill and both Udogie and Sarr weren’t marquee but look like the real deal. He closest to marquee we’ve gotten recently is Tanguy and Richy.

Give me more of effective, right players than marquee any day.

Where are they?

No CB
No striker
Too early to comment on Sarr and Udogie
Tanguy should have been moved on
As should have Dier, Sanchez and others
Maddison we all knew was the real deal

Still a severely lacking squad and 1 or 2 injuries away from disaster.

So where are the right players? This squad finished 8th last season and only because of Kane. 3 good games and we think we’re winning the league. See you february when your calling for Anges head

They’d probably win an employment tribunal backed by the PFA if that was attempted. They’ve done nothing in a breach of their contract to warrant it.

They were supposed to be signings with Kane in squad. They have sold Kane for 110M and only brought in Johnson.

Come on. That’s new low even for Levy.

We sold Winks. Loaned Spence, Reguilon, Tanganga and Rodon.

Awful summer. I know people are gonna scream about Vicario, VDV and Maddison, but come on, they were necessary targets.

Three strong first team players, a couple of depth options and two rated youngsters is decent.

The lack of ability to shift the shite from the squad is a big negative and selling out best player is also.

And whilst we have strengthened certain areas, I’m not impressed by the money spent. It’s a basic unhappiness and I get that, but there should be a lot more cash down the back of the sofa to take hits on getting rid of players, or to get more, or a higher quality in.

6/10. And an explanation needed from the owners where the extra cash from the stadium is.

Wondering what rating people would give if just considering the incomings?
Incoming only would be a 7/8 out of 10. A new quality starting 11 LB, CB, GK, CM. All for under what it cost some clubs to buy a single CM. That's an impressive window for any club.

Then we also got a cheap backup winger, and couple players for the academy.

A striker would have made it a 9.9 out of 10.

lloris, dier, ndombele refusing to leave and earn their place at another club shows the mentality of this squad for the last few years.
Why would they unless the pieces fell exactly into place? Cushy contracts, great facilities to stay fit and a London lifestyle? Why go out and prove yourself at your former clubs expense unless you actually value what’s left of your whole career (as opposed to what benefits you right now by staying put?)
