If they could have lit the fire under Alli again, and hoping and assuming his addiction problems are put to bed now, they have a pretty good chance of doing so, The deal was £40m total all structured as performance bonuses, which is really a drop in the bucket in terms of modern spending, if you could get Alli to 70% of what he was for us you would definitely have a >£40m player on your hands but they don't appear to wanna make any effort to help him get back to that at the risk of having to pay up for him. I wish we had taken less money for him that window but a deal not structured like this, it's not good for us and it's not good for Dele either.
