We had the best defensive record n the league over a 24 month period.

Trippier & Davies were rotating regularly at our peak and we were still maintaining our level of play. In fact Rose v Davies results are VERY evenly balanced. Meanwhile Tripper is being heralded as a top FB even today at 33. They both served as excellent back-ups (i.e. Good squad depth!).

Btw:
Walker played 105 games for Poch (despite missing a lot of his first season through injury).
Rose played 85 (pre injury) for Poch.

"Half a season" = BS!

The extent that a certain person lives rent free in heads like yours - regardless of the topic - "astounds" me.

Levy has no direct relevance to how good any individual players were or weren't.

You talk about "revisionism", but why did people like you spend most of Poch's tenure shitting themselves about all our players being sold if they were so inferior?

"Bad bald man's gonna gonna sell all of Poch's players from underneath him - WAH!"

Love Poch's time here and wish him no ill-will now (Chavs can fuck right off, but that's another matter).... That squad was absolutely good enough to at least win a cup of some description though.

100 * 100%.

Disingenuous bollocks.

- Toby was declining rapidly over the course of Jose's time.
- Jan was finished and shaping up to leave.
- Davies had big spells out injured during Jose's run.
- I made no prior mention of Aurier.
....And Rose was a broken player by then (which I already made a point of acknowledging by only citing his pre-injury appearance numbers).

Poch had:

PEAK Toby & Jan
PEAK, pre-injury Rose
Trippier & Davies as STRONG backups (not starters)
PEAK Dembele
PEAK Dele
PEAK Eriksen
PRIME Walker (albeit improving even further under Pep)
+ A Kane that could still run & press.

Drop the bullshitty, dishonest rubbish.
2 things I’m taking from this:

1) you’re essentially for the first time ever admitting that the board inexplicably let the squad deteriorate into a broken, finished (your words) mess both in Pochs final seasons AND Jose’s seasons and beyond.

2) again you talk about PEAK players that achieved nothing of note either before or leaving Tottenham. Again I ask what right did we have to win trophies ahead of teams such as City, Chelsea, Liverpool, United that had invested massively in their teams?

You’re one to talk about moving goalposts.
You were exposed as the fraud you are when you let the mask slip praising Woolwich and the ambition they showed Declan Rice signing.

You have zero credibility on here, jog on.

And now you're adding lying to your repertoire, brilliant. 😆

Keep deflecting from your weak arguments though, it's been hilarious watching you use every single piece of mental gymnastic just to get round the argument.

Don’t recall claiming to be?

I just wondered why you're talking about being a exposed fraud and credibility on a football forum, no-one cares mate it's not that deep, no wonder you keep moving the goalposts in your arguments because you're so insistent on protecting your overly precious little ego you don't want to relent from your position and make your online person look weak, it's okay to be wrong you know mate, you're not going to lose internet points.

Try again without the massive degree of strawman bullshit.

"Finished" - Jan (not squad!)... He left so it's moot. Besides; don't tell me we didn't spend 40m on Sanchez (+ a little Artgentinian protege in Foyth) in advance in order to try and groom his successor.
"Broken" - Rose (not squad!)... Never hidden from that fact.... We did however spend 25m on Sess & 35m on Reg to replace him.... Far from what I'd call neglect.

So drop the citation quote BS.

"Inexplicable".... There's pages and pages of discussion explaining why we didn't spend as much as one would hope between 2017-19..... That big fucking concrete thing on the highroad is a clue. Every fucking time we did indulge Poch with players of significant cost they were varying degrees of disappointment anyway (see above and the window of doom summer 2019 + players like Aurier & Jansen who both name-checked themselves as being HIS choice.).

2) again you talk about PEAK players that achieved nothing of note either before or leaving Tottenham.

Yadda yadda......

Who said anything about a "right" to anything? ....Certainly not me. Quite the opposite. I don't believe we have a "right" to anything (esp. in this petro-fucked landscape). I'm not one of the entitled cunts of our fan-base. I value and do my best to enjoy every positive stride we make; whilst drones like you piss and moan your way through the good times to or just flat out go missing.

I said the team was "good enough to win something" (Controversial? Hardly!)....... You think that Lester squad was better than what we had? ..........Was it fuck! ......Maybe your underlying feeling here is that Ranieri is better than Teflon Poch?

- Son at LB in the LC final?
- Schooled by Jose in the FA Cup semi-final despite battering Man U 3-0 a week before?
- Kane / Moura fuck up for the CL final?
- Schooled by Allegri at home in the CL when we were 3-2 (agg) up at HT with 2 away goals under our belt?

Whatever........ Still love his time here regardless.

Rewind to the very begining of this exchange. You said we had "inferior" players........ I call bullshit on that and all you're doing is trying to bullshit your way out of the simple fact that Poch had a shit hot team at his disposal cos, for you, bald man = bad and not much else matters.

Regardless of the fact it comprised a few golden eggs that meant it didn't cost as much to assemble as the richer teams around us - Kane, Dele Son & Eriksen = a combined 40m... Irrespective of net spend; they still completely smashed the EPL together for a few years! Similarly, we still had a world class defense for a few years.

That we had a great team shouldn't be a controversial thing to accept; one might even take pride in it as a supporter... But no; of course all this really is, is a vehicle for you to prattle a bunch of tired, boring Levy-toned guff..... "Poch is beyond reproach cos evil bald man". Yeh, whatever.

Go on Poch, take Ndombs with you to Chelsea, £50 million or so will do it - I know you want to!

To be fair, Poch mumbo jumbo's his way through success and failure.

The one thing I would say is, unlike Ten Hag at Utd, at least you can, more often than not, see some evidence of a coaching style at Chelsea, who generally have been dominating games.

I personally think they would have been better off (or at worst as well off) if they'd left Potter there and given him more time, but they might as well stick with Poch until at least the end of the season.
