How many windows was one beautiful bastard Llorente linked with us :D ?

And we got him.

So I'd say it is 1 out of 3! (remining strikers are ofc Damiao and Huntelaar :D ) .
Also, you know what? Damiao became free agent yesterday. And he is only of the 3 who hasn't retired.

So... there is a chance ! :D

Here's a curveball for you (and our board): how about we look to sign English players? You know, being an English team and all.

Dragu, Todibo, Ikatura, Sangante, Dybala, Guirassy, Jota...where are our countrymen? It's as if there's no talented Englishmen out there. Oh yeah we've been linked to Gallagher. That does it then.

Really does my head in how we've become like the Woolwich and Chelsea of old who used to field 10 or 11 foreign players. We used to have Walker, Rose, Ledley, Dele, Kane...also a time when we had Crouchy, Defoe, Lennon, Hudders, Jakey, Jenas...and others I'm forgetting.

Not having a pop at you at all, my man. Just making the point that I'd like us to look at what's happening on these shores first before turning to a Dybala who's past his prime, whatever the price tag/resale value. How about we start by giving Donley a real go?
100% agree. Whatvisvthe point of the academy, buying players like Philips if all we are going to do is get more foreign players. We can’t afford to stockpile players and then few years down the line have trouble getting rid of them. At CB if we get dragusin then unless we are gonna spend big on another ready made CB we may as well develop and promote Phillips and dorrinton. Not mention the young kid from Croatia. We also have Davies who seems to be in flavour. That is 7 we could have in the next few years unless Davies goes. If he does we should defo promote from academy. I’d rather than spend money getting a Kelly or Tosin.

It's a salary limit not transfer I am pretty sure.

Sid Lowe

Barcelona’s salary limit, their first-team budget set by the league’s financial fair play rules, is €270m, compared with €727m for Real Madrid. That would be difficult enough, but the amount they are spending on their squad – while down from €676m, and much as they have shed some of their highest earners, such as Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, Antoine Griezmann, and Gérard Pique – is €492m. Because they are over their limit, league rules allow them to spend only a third of what they can show they have saved. For every euro spent, they must demonstrate that three have been brought in.
You are probably correct but regardless of that they are not in position to be spunking money around. Who knows what they will find to sell next. Disaster of a club.

Johan Lange travelled to Italy to personally watch Radu Dragusin as Tottenham Hotspur target the defender in the January transfer window.

Radu Dragusin looks to be closing in on becoming Spurs’ first signing of the month. Tottenham are looking set to complete a deal to sign Dragusin for around £23 million.

It will be a move which will please Ange Postecoglou and the Tottenham fans. It has been apparent for some time that Spurs need further reinforcements at the back, with Micky van de Ven sidelined since early November and Cristian Romero joining him recently.

Johan Lange went to watch Radu Dragusin as Tottenham target January deal
But it is not a panic buy.

Football London reports that Postecoglou has given a move for Dragusin the green light. And Tottenham’s technical director Johan Lange went to watch the centre-back in action for Genoa in their 1-1 draw with Juventus along with the club’s chief scout Rob Mackenzie in December.

Spurs desperately need to make a quick signing
It will be a big boost for Tottenham to get a deal over the line in the coming days. They have done amazingly well to remain in touch with the top four in the Premier League while dealing with a raft of injuries to key players.

It has been Emerson Royal and Ben Davies who have largely played together in recent weeks.

Dragusin is not necessarily the finished article when he has the ball at his feet. But he is a warrior who loves to get stuck in, so it is certainly going to be a lot of fun to watch on the occasions he is partnered with Cristian Romero – should he sign.

Many of the deals Tottenham have done more recently have proved to be really good pieces of business.

So if they manage to strike a deal for Dragusin from here, there will be optimism that he could prove to be yet another gem.

Oh no, how are unfortunate, how we will survive this?

Chelsea have reportedly slapped a £60 million price tag on Conor Gallagher this month, which could ultimately price Tottenham Hotspur out of a move.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with a January swoop for Conor Gallagher, with his future at Chelsea looking uncertain.

They've mistaken us for Man Utd
