Jesus hes barely here 4 months, missed pre-season with us, been injured just after signing. Give the lad a chance.
Hes still getting assists despite not playing too well. Also forces defences to drop a little deeper because he can cause trouble when going in behind

As I said I am keeping the faith for now but nothing in your post explains what looks to me to be a rather timid footballer who is not especially brave when the ball is in dispute. I've seen him pull out of challenges a few times this season and that is a concern.

I've no doubt as to BJ's talent. It's his competitiveness that I am hoping to see more of.

He has a bit of fight in him. Remember last season when he cleaned out richy? Just need him to become more confident in himself. Before he was injured early this season he had a couple very cocky finishes that were reminiscent of dele alli albeit offsides. I think as he finds his feet more, he will excel.

“Keeping the faith for now”

He needs a lot more time than “fans” like you seem prepared to give him, god help the kid

Grow up and back our players.

Sorry chap, I don't believe in having blind faith in anything for too long. Johnson is going ok but he is not setting the world on fire. There's a player there but I do not back away from my opinion that he should be showing more than he is.

I am not questioning his talent and it has nothing at all to do with whether he has had "time" because you should be able to see a players competitive instinct from day one. Does Johnson have it? I am not sure hence I am still on board "for now." The guy has played over 160 senior games. He might only be 22 but he hasn't just been plucked from the academy. At the moment he's far too passive for my liking and far too willing to accept things when they don't go his way on the park. I am hoping this element of his game can be coached out as he has plenty of great attributes. But is he a "winner" as it's not exactly clear to me right now?

Also, supporters should be able to ask questions without being shut down by the sheep among us. So if that offends you then frankly I don't give a fuck.

Mate, fair enough. I don't remember the incident but if you are seeing that fight and I am not then fair play and that's great for us (and the player).

I'll reserve my judgement but appreciate your response.
