Come on... Where do you think we are at the moment. We don't spend money fact. If we end up with Werner, he was prolific at one point and maybe Ange can get the best out of him. Let's face it, every thing Chelkski have touched has turned to rat shit, Mudryk, Jackson, Caicedo, Cucarella, Nkunku, Sterling... And that's before I start dropping names. I prefer Guirassy for 15m, but we are we are, don't start counting off Ange coz he's the Don mate. Where we are without the best striker in the world is a fucking miracle.... Let Ange do he's stuff and see where we are end of season. I'm just happy we are playing decent football and sitting where we are in the table at the moment.

But even if he can't score to save his life, he will still really fit into our system. He has the ability to run with the ball from deep, can play out wide and will give the likes of Johnson a bit of a kick up the arse.

Watching Richie yesterday, he reacts about half a second too late in the box. He's always on this heels. Werner won't be like that. He'll try and get in front of his man. He'll lay it off and then actually push into the box to try and receive the final pass.

And if he's shit, we just send him back.

The hesitancy is obviously warranted, but I'm not sure who else we could move for that fits our system and doesn't represent a risk.

Werner is a stop gap signing no doubt about it. The question is whether he’s a good one. In my opinion if Ange thinks he can do something positive for us in half a season especially in Son’s absence then I’m all for it.

Yesterday, if you were at the game you could see the biggest issue was we didn’t have the pace to run in behind and win any through balls which prevented us even trying. Werner can provide this option the real question is can he score enough goals to satisfy our fan base? I’m not sure!

Deal saves us money which allows us to put funds into buying a CB and ACM and gives us an additional option in a thin squad. No brainer!

I’ve no issues with the signing as it makes sense as a little stop-gap if we can’t get anything better now. But I’m not gonna do the whole convincing myself Werner is actually really good routine just because he’s been linked to Spurs.
 
Pretty underwhelming but its a loan and i'd put it moderately above the Danjuma one last January. Probably a better option than Gil on the left but preferable to the Danjuma loan and better than Gil are very low bars to clear...i sort of hoped we'd moved on from these mediocre punts, albeit short term.

He was incredibly wasteful for Chelsea, despite what his stats may show, but much of that was down to his confidence in front of goal being lower than a snake's belly.

I'd absolutely agree that our style suits his game right down to the ground. I'd just hope that he puts his early chances away, we might just see what Chelsea thought they were going to get.
