Transfers January Transfer Thread 2024

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Levy is a highly involved owner/manager with a mostly silent partner in the trust Lewis has set up. He's also been involved in this for 20 years. He will set the tone for negotiation even if if it is not him doing it. Not saying I like it but it is what it is.
Agree, it’s like folks think their won’t be a PDR, with Levy asking “So, how have you managed negotiations“, you think Munn gets his bonus if his reply is “Yeah, we ditched your methodology and haggled just twice via Teams and Email”…

Dogs looking like their owners springs to mind (and Munn looks eerily similar).

I personally wouldn't say no to another CB but where, next season would that leave Phillips and Dorrington?

And that isn't me necessarily advocating for them... just honestly wondering if there would be space for 6 CBs in our squad or if anyone know if these guys will even be able to start playing first team football by next year?

Loans?

I have no idea about either of them tbh, not seen them play. No idea how good they are?

Here is what he looks like. (I certainly did not know!)

Folks will laugh, but what I see is; someone who had (likely hence still has) a poor mineral composition through his formative years and will thus likely suffer injuries and a shorter career (than say the beautifully formed Emerson).

Luka Vuskovic is his name, won't be joining until Summer 2025 due to rules on signing U18 players from abroad, so he is not in the near future for us.
Pretty sure it's January 2025 he can join us.
Now he plays for his country!
Does he though?
He's got 18 caps, 9 of which were in 2019 with 8 since then.
At best he makes up the numbers.

And let's never forget that England, ranked 3rd in the world, still pick and play Maguire, Philips, Henderson etc. International football is so poor, that players like that can get games.

He was a walking accident. He may have had some ability but a complete headless chicken.
Foyth was a strange one.

Feels like one of those players that never really works out their position. He was really good on the ball but would just do the weirdest shit.

Was it Bournemouth where he decided to get himself sent off? Could be so reckless at the most unnecessary moments.

His birthday is in Feb, so maybe he can join the team but don't think he can play for us until the following registration window is open so will prob just stay in Croatia till the summer of 2025. We're not gonna put a 17 year old in the team mid season anyway, makes more sense to bring him in the summer and give him a full pre season training with the first team and U21s to see what his level is.

He tried for us, much more than others I could mention, including the premier wage thief currently on loan!

Yes, came on at HT when we were down to 10 and got sent off within seconds.

I haven’t logged on in ages so this isn’t necessarily directed at you fine folk, but I am amused that this time last week Dragusin was by and large being seen as the FFS Levy cheap option, and now that Bayern are linked he’s become the FFS Levy so dragging your heels player.

General thoughts on current affairs: like the looks of him. Intrigued and cautiously optimistic about Werner. Would love to replace Hojbjerg with a better fit for the system but given Lo Celso’s improvement, Werner’s signing allowing Kulusevski to play down the middle more, and the imminent return of Maddison (and I I just adore Bentancur), I’m not that fussed (and obviously the fact that Bissouma and Sarr aren’t going to miss that much action for us).

Reading this thread, for some reason I keep being reminded of this:
