Dier and Lloris out, Werner and Dragusin in.

That’s a very good window.

One more good window in the summer and I’d say the long and painful rebuild is complete.

Amazing how quickly things can change in football. 6 months ago everyone was hysterical.

Including Lloris and Eric, you would think a minimum of 6 players will leave this window.
Gil, Spence, Reguillon and Perisic.

Get the Summer right and we are legit challenging for the league next season, have always said that

Well have to manage europe and have greater stress on the squad (injuries etc).

What do you think we’d need in the summer?

I think we need either a striker or a forward.
Fullbacks need reinforcing.
Central midfield. Hojbjerg out and one more in.

If we could get Bardhelj and Vemeeren now but let them stay at current clubs then that would be a dream window. But that is fantasy stuff.

That is the first time Gold has suggested Drag as a possibility.

Tottenham are pushing to try to bring in Genoa defender Radu Dragusin before Friday's Premier League deadline.

Tottenham's negotiations to buy the 21-year-old Romanian took a big leap forward on Monday as they edged towards an agreement worth £21.5million and a further £4million in add-ons with the Italian club.

Interest from Napoli and AC Milan was batted away with Dragusin understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League although there were fears that Bayern Munich could hijack the move, but as of yet the German giants have not made an official approach to Genoa.

Another part of the negotiations though between Tottenham and Genoa is the potential of sending right-back Djed Spence to the Serie A side

football.london revealed this week that Spence has been training with Spurs' U21s since returning to the north London club rather than with the first team who returned on Monday morning after they were given the weekend off by Postecoglou.

It is understood that Spence needs to be fully convinced by the move to Genoa but the hope is that the former England U21 international will agree to the half-season switch with a lack of serious interest otherwise currently in his services and Spurs happy to take a loan or permanent deal for the full-back this month with him having no part in Postecoglou's plans.

I think you're missing the overall point with their non-football activities.
Title winners in England generally feature in the top 3 for wage bill spending.

That's the less spoken about other half to the 'transfer spending' discussion. Pay the big wages and attract the big stars, win silverware.

Where we are now and where we were when ENIC became owners is night and day.

In the ten seasons preceding their takeover under Sugar's ownership we averaged a 10.8 table position, or 11th essentially. That also included UCL/UEFA participation once, and that wasn't via league finish.

Under ENIC we have finished in that '11th' or below 3 times (from 24 seasons) and none since 2008. With UEFA/UCL participation in 15 of the last 17 seasons.

And yes none of that is a trophy, but it is steady and solid progress. As is developing the training facilities, and massively upgrading WHL into our magnificent stadium.

To wind back to the top to the overall point, all that is aimed at helping put Tottenham Hotspur into a position where our financial capabilities match and even outstretch our contemporaries.

That is a gap we are closing, and non-football ventures that you mock like NFL, Concerts etc are a pivotal revenue stream that is needed to achieve the end goal. Think otherwise that's fine, but without it we'd slowly drift back to the pack with the Everton and West Ham clubs of the world.

You must crawl before you can walk, unless you're Manchester City and enter a cheatcode instead.
I mean, Leicester didn't crawl.

Goes to prove we had a number of capable players here already, it just took the right manager to unlock it.

Vicario, Van de Ven and Maddison have obviously been great signings last summer, but Sarr, Udogie, Porro, Biss, Deki just needed a manager that supported them and plays a system that allows them to play their game.

I think we can all agree we want Ange for the long haul.

I know Eric Dier has his short-comings... but he's been a great servant for the club, never complained to the press and Angelos is talking highly about him (as a person).
I really can't understand why some people have this strong need to repeatedly, day after day, express their disdain for him. It's as if there is a competition among some people about who's able to express their dislike for him the most and the strongest - and in the process thinks that makes them a "better" Spurs fan...
Because on the pitch, he's a calamity and a barrier to bringing someone else in or through the youth system.
