Well we bought MADDs and VDV before selling harry I think. Not getting Johnson would not have been such a bad thing. We needed a tricky winger like mahrez with skill not sure what we have with BJ. Needs to improve big time as I can’t see what his talents are.
Eze is a ball carrier. Teams nowadays value those above players like Gallagher. I just don’t get why we’d chose Gallagher over a player like Eze. But I’d always chose technique over brawn.

For Jan window, I’d keep our squad is it is for now, unless some bargains popped up.
Then in summer I’d consider:

No point spending £50M plus add ons in a bench warmer and someone who isn’t a game changer. We need game changers. Keep saying MADDs is our only real creative talent. Kulu is hit and miss. Bent could do it but his also needed else where and the guy has had two bad injuries. Eze, olise, any of those youngsters we have been linked with or some player from Europe with creativity is what we need. In tight games that is what wins you it.
Disagree. We have a lot of talent in midfield - they are either a) not available or b) injured or c) always suspended (Bissouma).
At the beginning of the season our midfield trio of Biss - Sarr - Madders was dominating everyone. You add Benta into the occasion and it’s possible he takes Biss’ place.
We have a strong midfield. Gio has been good too when available.
Eze is on a long contract at Palace (who he chose to resign with 2 months ago) and they don't want to sell. Given he is CAA Base, we probably also know whether he wants to come and how much. I don't disagree that he is a better option.
Man city will get done imo when pep goes. Needs to be a wage cap in football.
