From what I read they sold Nunes but it came to late for their 2022-23 accounts< Im not sure that selling Gomes would make any difference, if they are going to get punished any way.

I know the margins are fine at the top, but who do you think is world class in the PL?
We had a midfield with Christian Eriksen, Mousa Dembele, and peak Dele Alli in it just 6 years ago. We don’t have that quality today.
We had Bale and Modric 10 years ago. We must aspire to that level and beyond again.
This project has the potential to really become special but we must not settle for scraps or very good. We need all timers. That’s all I will say. We need to raise our standards, all of us. The world class midfield centerpiece is what will take us to the next level. The trophy lifting level.
Strange list of players mate. Not one of those players could be considered world class until after they arrived or left Spurs.

They were all better than their equivalent players at Spurs currently.
Dembele especially was the definition of world class for me. Regardless of what acclaim he got.
Even then, world class is still a hideous overstatement.
If Eriksen makes the list of whats considered World Class then to think Maddison, on what we've seen, isn't is absolutely laughable.
