Absolutely...... If Werner impresses (and if Solomon just drifts during the 2nd half of this season), it wouldn't be the worst business in the world to flip a quick profit on Solomon; then use that cash to cover a chunk of Werner's fee and still go for another LWer.
....That said; I think Solomon has a little something.
(Also conscious of the fact that Sonny will be 32 by the time next season starts; which is partially why I see him more of an ST now.....)
As for Veliz.... With plenty of game-time ahead I could see him getting decent minutes in the first half of next season..... I'm wondering; if he could impress in longer cameos and domestic cups with us next season we might be able get him a PL loan as a starter come January for someone desperate for goals....... Him being on loan and riding a bench in the champ or the bottom end of the PL will do him no good; he'd be better off here.
We must do better than that to win the league.
