Have you ever seen a player look so ecstatic as Maxime Estève on signing for a new club?

He looks like he thought he was signing for Villa or maybe Burnley then the car dropped him off in the East End

About Bergvall. This dude that claims his ITK (named Hercules by the way). Said there will be no signing tonight. Maybe in a couple of weeks. Is it really possible to agree , and sign with an 18 year old, before the next window opens?

They've been after him for a while now. 10 days ago a Spurs delegation even went to meet him & his family in Stockholm; something Spurs won't do whimsically but after having scouted him for a while.
Bergvall's preference for Barca - which may have changed after Xavi decide to leave Barca at the end of the season - is what's been holding up this deal for Spurs.
He can't sign till tomorrow, his 18th birthday apparently!

Similar situation to Vuskovic for us where we can't sign him until he's 18 but can sign a pre-agreement for the next possible window (this summer).

You can sign players whenever you want..... But you can't register them outside of the window(s).

Reading between the lines; this would most likely operate like a buy and loan-back.

Why are we not going for him? We seem to go a lot young players from overseas who play a handful of games and are leagues no better than the national league 1! Jack and Scott both have played plenty of games in championship which is a much higher standard than majority of leagues in Europe. These guys would help with hg quota as well. Instead we have to end up keeping crap hg players currently in our squad like the goalkeepers. Can’t help but feel we could regret not buying Jack, Scott or Hayden!

Maybe Spurs think Alfie Devine is better ?

Certainly England youth coaches have been picking Devine for many years whereas Wharton's appearance in E squads has been patchy, And Alfie is pretty versatile starting off as a deep lying playmaker but now as likely to play as a no 10, or RW
