SOLID? AGAINST ARSESCUM?
We fucking lubed our asses and put them up to be ass-raped.

We were just found out. Deep block and counter is how to beat us.

If this system is to work we need to create and take early chances to get the other team coming forward.

Therefore giving us more space.

We seem out of ideas on how to do this. Or too afraid.

We need better quality at both wings, someone who can beat their man with good technical ability, vision, and courage to find the pass/cross.

A solid DM also to cover the back 4.

Oh, and a new striker.
Not just found out. Capitulated.

I don't think anyone in our front three is good enough from the technical standpoint. Johnson, Kulusevski, Son, Richarlison, the lot of them. All predictable, and none of them are good enough at retaining the ball due to their sloppiness. Kulusevski is arguably the best at doing so in our team but he lacks in so many other departments. None of our attackers seem to know the meaning of pass and move and that's a problem. None of them can keep the ball, hold it up successfully, draw opponents in.. they all want to just force it. All the top teams have players capable of doing this. We don't.

Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie, Bentancur, Maddison and probably Bissouma are the only players I'd say are technically sufficient. So from a 25 man squad, 7 players. Seven. In fact, I'd even throw Lo Celso in there tbh but he's off in the summer.

All of our best technical players seem to be in our defence. And it's why we are pretty much one of the best teams in the league in our own third on the ball. However it's when we get beyond that we lack. No good Romero and van de Ven breaking lines with their passing and starting attacks when the players their passing to then go on and treat the ball like they don't know what to do with it
Our front players looks like they want to get rid of the ball as soon as possible. They lost possession almost all the time.

Its clearly a manager issue. We didn't have trouble scoring especially in the first 10 games and the defense was pretty solid too..... We were praising Ange at that point.

However, it seems that the league has figured out how to play against us and we haven't found a good solution yet. Ange seems to be just one trick pony and has trouble adjusting to the better managers in the league.

And it’s not the first time this season

When they receive the ball their first instinct is to turn backwards and play the safe pass!

Instead of looking to take a defender on

It’s his first season. Took Pep, Arteta and Klopp a lot longer to sort their teams out in their vision. This season was always gonna have problems and Ange himself said so. As did most of us. Last 3 matches have been shit but we need more options and a squad for the manager. Oh and all those managers play one style

That was one of the most frustrating things that I noticed in last night's performance.
To be honest, it was some of the worst football I've ever seen as Spurs fan.
Sonny had numerous chances to see if a kid could handle him and he chose to turn back and play the easy pass. I find that bizarre. Johnson on the other side lost the first two duals then was non existent apart from when he did cross it which either hit the first defender or was to floated. Both of them miles off it. You might get away with one being off it but both totally fucks us.

this has been the case for years. we struggle to beat teams that sit deep because we lack the technical players required in the final third. son and johnson would be weapons if we are 2-0 up at 60 mins and the other team is pushing. they would end up getting destroyed on the counter....but thats too much to ask a football genius to implement. they want to try and make it seem like football is such a complex game, maybe its too try and justify the ridiculous amount of money they get.

Did you love him when he assaulted Udogie with that kick. Zero effort to play the ball just straight up kicked him and tried to injure him.

He’s a fat ugly cunt.
I wasn't thrilled about the possibility of Udogie being injured but;

Yeah, I like it when a player hates losing.

Romero has it.

Davids had it.

Roberts had it.

Mckay had it.

We're a bit Spursy in this department.

One every 15 years.

Hey mate. There’s a ‘positivity’ thread for Ange if you would specifically like to only see the happy clappy stuff.
I made ONE slightly humorous, tongue in cheek post and the thread went in to meltdown. :roflmao:
A bunch of losers who claim to have me on ignore gave my post a mandatory x even though they wouldn't see it, followed by Admin being buzzed and asked to ban me from the thread.🤷‍♂️

The cult of Ange, eh'

So you think Ange has told them to simply slow down, move less and pass backwards more?

Fair enough

Lmfao 🤣

The players are not constantly moving into space enough. We don’t appear to have any coached combinations through the middle, or around the sides. Against the more financially well-equipped sides we don’t have enough raw athleticism to be able to improvise our way through organized opposition.

Pep and Arteta both won cups in their first year as manager( If Ange did that for us we would be legend status). I would say Klopp is one took some time but he did go to league cup /Europa finals his first year.

Plus, those 3 plays their style but they also know how to adjust and adapt to certain situations. We havent seen that from Ange so far.

I don’t think that’s happened but I do think that too many players are barely going through the motions and have no confidence in the manager let alone each other

I don't think they have anything against the manager at all and to be honest, the ones not confident in him or his beliefs should be moved on quite swiflty in the summer.

It's evident that Ange expects in every game that these players are willing to take on a lot of risk and not flinch regardless of how the game is going. I actually think van de Ven alluded to this too in his post match interview after Chelsea.

However it's quite obvious that after we get attacked once or twice, we have a squad full of players that basically try to be safer and avoid making mistakes.. I also think that's why he specifically called out Romero after the Woolwich game - you know he's not going to back down, even if he's made a mistake. He's always going to try and be brave.

The attitude round the club has been rotten for 5+ years now. Turns out, that is a much more important (and harder) fix than pretty much everything else. We have a bunch of players who have such a weak mentality that they can't even seem to follow simple instruction out of fear of themselves making mistakes.

And I was quite disappointed that Sarr and Porro seemed to be two of the players who weren't brave enough last night - because both have been pretty good throughout the season but the amount of times they both played sideways or backwards when they had acres of space in front of them was infuriating.

However, I would still persist with both. Vicario, Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie, Sarr, Maddison are the only players we have that seem to be brave on the ball (Even though Maddisons confidence seems shot) and tbh the only players I'd be willing to persist with. The rest can go if a decent fee comes in.

AVB finished 5th and got sacked the following October.

If my Aunt had gonads she'd be my uncle.

Do you see where this is going?
