Why focus on Amorim though lol. The managers I gave as example play 4-4-2/4-3-3/4-2-3-1 variations, if that’s what we want.

And what’s wrong with Amorim? He’s a different manager to Postecoglou? Afaik he plays attacking football aswell. And his formation kinda fits our players too

They might they might not. Point being the history of this club he will likely be out quickly anyway nor if he was being ruthless trying to implement a style would he be backed. This club is awful to manage, we are a hard club for any manager. The players seem all pampered and often soft and have done even under Conte. I don’t see how sacking the manager fixes anything at this point in time. The squad needs to be gutted and we need elite players at this club and depth as well so players fear for their positions.

Planning to need elite players at this club is just not a real plan since it is never going to happen with Levy at the helm.

The problem Ange has says is he keeps on using the pronoun ‘we’ when he means ‘I’.

I’m getting bored of it. What does *he* want? What is *his* style of football? I have fuck all clue what it is.

Agreed, Ange is not our man any more.
I don't really want him sacked at the moment but I'm increasingly unconvinced by him.

It's obvious we need new signings but I am not convinced it's just (or even mainly) personnel. I think there are deep lying issues with the system and approach that Ange won't deviate from that mean it will never work out under him. In fact the only way I see 'Angeball' succeeding is if we had far better players in every position than every other team (like he did at Celtic) and that obviously won't happen.

I just don't see two CBs plus inverted full backs and the halfway line defence ever working out, there are loads of good forwards in this league and if you give them good space they will punish you.

They will be here 6-12 months then get sacked and it will be the next guy.
We just have to hope we stumble on the right one. To work with our board you have to be adaptable, like Poch starting a season with no DM so playing Dier there. Ange has his plan and thats it, he's not tried anything different or left field all season. He's as stubborn as Conte but without the coaching ability. I cant see the point in ploughing on when something so obviously isnt right. Again our mistake hasnt been sacking managers too early but just making the wrong appointments.

Right… the manager hasn’t done anything that remotely shows a lifeline sign of progress? The fans didn’t ask for much, just some decent football to look forward to, win or lose. I think everybody understands this season the hopes weren’t high and possibly they increased after the first 10 games, and then rightly so, if we play so well right off the bat, you’d start to get hopeful, no? Then the injuries happened and it was understandable results would dive, but now most players are back and instead we play fucking terrible. What does that tell you? That we’re going in the right direction?

That’s what many Arse fans said about Arteta for 2-3 seasons as he hit a number of bad runs. Poch was and is a great manager but let’s say Ange goes, I doubt we will get someone who fits us like Poch again, that was a match of club, timing and style. I’d rather fail trying to attack than doing a Nuno and just defend.

When will people understand that it's not the manager, but the players, and most importantly, the mentality of this football club? We keep signing mid-table Premier League players like Johnson hoping that they come good. Sometimes it works (Vicario, Udogie, Van De Ven), and sometimes they're a waste of space (Gil, Solomon, Emerson)...

You think 10 months is giving a manager enough time, bless you. :harrylol:
It definitely is if you can see the flaw coming a mile down the road. What is Ange going to do? He’s never had to not play his football before and has never shown any tactical flexibility to solve any such problems.

Do you really think that is going to end well for us? We are a worse team than when we started this season because we’ve been figured out thoroughly and have a manager unwilling to try anything different.

The element of surprise only lasts so long.
