Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Lenglet was not the best of all possible, viable options.

Gimme a break.
Conte valued experience over anything. Hence why we signed 4 players unsuitable for his system . He also has always relied on a DOF to build his squad and at Inter he trusted their team president and his DoF to do that. Conte does nothing t come with lists but he pushed for Lenglet over players like Lacroix and Badishelie.

Comment doesn't even make any sense, we have on average deployed the 6th highest line in the Premier League this season, Bournemouth play higher.
who's measuring??

Most aggravating of all to Ange Postecoglou was the sense that a few club staff members, many of whom are #Spurs fans, had been relaxed about the possibility of losing vs Manchester City, because of the title race context. Whilst the majority of club staff had been focusing on their work as normal, the prospect of losing to City had been a theme of jokes among a minority of the staff for the past week. When one member of the support staff joked to Postecoglou that he should play a youth team against City, the manager was furious.

Postecoglou’s mood had deteriorated in recent weeks given the bad results,
but this dynamic lit the fuse in him. The whole notion of being happy to lose a game had shocked him.

@JackPittBrooke
Funny really, as I didn't particularly want to lose 0-3 to Fulham... or 4 to Newcastle ... Or 3 games in 7 days against Arse, Chelsea and Liverpool... but we DID!
No one wanted to have to be in the position where us actually losing a game was a preferable to winning it... but there we go!

Best line in that and what currently sums us up imo.

But when you detach your project so thoroughly from results, you don’t get to act surprised when fans start to do the same.

Exactly what I thought. Yes, we are a strange set of fans but the bloke can't have it both ways. And in a game with am outcome that could have had huge ramifications.

Not one Spurs fan enjoyed Tuesday's experience

Staggering that Postecpglou went on the attack as opposed to empathising if not agreeing.

He might live to regret it.

Jonathan Liew actively hates Ange and has been looking write hit pieces at any opportunity. Even when we were flying.

Okay. I liked the piece. We all have capacity to read an article or whatever and deduce as we see fit.

The last few days have been hotrendous and stilll with Sunday's dual sets of necessary results to hopefully complete the puzzle.

I just want to see a summer of us buying 3 or 4 of the right players. Then we go again.

Jonathan whoever doesn't pick the team, deploy the tactics or take to the pitch. At least not yet....

You have been on team “He’s been found out” For a while though.

Maybe the article was more like confirmation bias porn for haters?

I think his (and Bentancur's reaction to being subbed) were the bubbling over of the reality of the situation dawning on them...
Ange must've been frustrated, but he must've GOT it that the results leading up to this game had put us in the unenviable position that no one wanted to be in... 3 points against ANY of our direct rivals would've meant that Tuesday was an irrelevance, but we fell to mighty Fulham, before that hellish 7 days where we spunked 9 points up the wall!
I'm seeing Tuesdays' defeat as payback for NOT beating Woolwich... otherwise, the league would already be City's by now!

Bentancur's reaction was more shocking... he was either putting it on (I've never seen him react like that) or wanted to injure himself again... maybe he was visualising the seat as Matty Cash's face!!

I thought it was a good read. All I said was worth a read. You disagree. It's just some words.

I thought it was quite fair tbh... apart from the sarcastic 'Open Top Bus parade' bit at the top... unnecessary and petty... especially as West Ham fans won't get as much stick for not caring about THEIR result on Sunday! (if they fucking dare even score... I swear to god!!!)

To be honest it’s been more than 2 thirds of the season. Onyl the first 10 games were semi decent even then we were lucky in some games. Add on the cup knockouts and his complete disregard for our own youth integration.
Ooouuuwhooooaa...

Hold your horses here. You quoted my post but saying that 10 games were semi decent is... plain wrong.
First 10 games were brilliant spectacle. Superb tempo, directness and fight. I have nothing bad to say regarding first 10 rounds. In EPL only 3 teams have ever racked up more points with first 10 rounds than us this season.

Some luck is ALWAYS needed in football, so I am not taking anything away from that first 10 rounds.

I understand that tough periods come around. And I would not be even quarter that critical if I would see any signs at all that we are moving back towards this first 10 rounds kind of playing. But we are not and ever since Howe gave out blueprints to every EPL side how to effectively destroy Ange tactics, I've seen nothing at all that gaffer would have come up with. You know, on top of throwing shit round like a chimp on coke.

Mate I haven't. You are seeing what's not there.

I have been in my own team. I always am. Any poster who is boring enough to read what I write knows I have my own line.

My gripe has been the feeble surrenders.

On Tuesday Postecoglou was bang out of order in my opinion. Completely wrong. My view but shared by several others.

No agenda with me. Just want us to do well but not this Tuesday.

I stopped after his petty intro para.

As soon as he’d written that, I knew exactly who he was appealing to and based on his previous, I also knew he was coming from smugness about his hatred of Ange.

Maybe he feigned balance after that but I’d already regretted giving him the click, I wasn’t going to help his average time on page rate. Bounced the fuck out of that anti Spurs agenda rubbish.

Just a really smart, well put together article from a very intelligent journalist who knows ball.
He’s a total cunt who only knows how much he’s hated Ange since the day he arrived.

He was doing sarcastic Ozzie accents on podcasts even when we were flying. He has a very obvious anti spurs agenda and it’s ZERO shock to me that you like his work.

I’d be more surprised if you didn’t.
