Have you just compared racist chants (literally hate speech) with asking the team to lose so Woolwich don’t win the league?

New lows.

Trust you to spectacularly miss the point, you utter dumbo 😆

You're having a mare this morning, log off for a few days and focus on being a better human if your actual day job is to serve and protect.

You have been on team “He’s been found out” For a while though.

Maybe the article was more like confirmation bias porn for haters?
The article is unfairly snide (which, by the way, underlines why it was so important we lost. Imagine what they would have said if we won).

But the last line rings true. You don’t get to say results don’t matter, because you’re working towards a more important goal, but then whinge when fans do the same.

He’s handled this week badly. Needs to keep a calmer head.

Shady you have a mare every morning.

It was a shit point. One is hate speech literally not permitted democratically, the other is saying pretty please Ange don’t win this game my neighbour will make fun of me.

Where did Ange whinge about fans?

You've done it again LMAO

The point was about democracy, you can't just whatever you want because we live in a free world because there's always consequences.

I wasn't comparing, I'm just using the alternative as an extreme example.

There's no way you're this thick in real life

No you’re being a total prat as usual.

Society set certain things apart from free speech a long time ago. The rest is fair game and nobody gets to arbitrarily say you’re not allowed to say shit like you want us to lose.

‘well ur not allowed 2 be racist so why should u be allowed to say we should lose?’

Absolute car-crash.

The press conference, the ‘inside and outside’ comment and his barely veiled disgust at everything going on. It was clearly directed at a ‘portion’ of the fan base.

He shit the bed.

It was a horrific week. We just need to draw a line under it and forget it ever happened.

Funny how he said "inside AND outside" but only the "outside" part gathered momentum on the interwebs.

Maybe people just like having a moan.

That wasn’t about the fans though.

He said the post game itw that it wasn’t the normal atmosphere but they just have to deal with it.

Wasn’t offering it as an excuse

Well actually, when you attend a Spurs game you are a guest on private property, and a licensor can eject anyone from it's premises for any reason, right down to not liking the look of your face, or not wearing the right shoes. This is not a question of free speech, it's about what conduct is permitted inside the stadium by the powers that be.

Of course. But that’s because it’s more unusual for a manager to question fans. Not unheard of, but unusual.

End of the day, I think a lot of fans got their knickers in a twist. Ange probably did too on reflection.

Ultimately, Ange is trying to re-frame the culture. His job is to win and instil a winning mentality within the club (in before melts post snapshots of last 5 games results etc.)

Unusual is a good word in this context. It was a fucking unusual game.

That’s a completely different argument to the one being made. Of course they can eject you if they want to.

Apart from that Ramos spell we're on our worst set of results in 20 years, be it over 10 or 25 games and it barely seems to warrant a mention. In all my years supporting us i cant think of any other manager who has got off so lightly, with so little scrutiny after such a poor run.

Not sure that's true at all.

Lets look at last season. Last 19 games of 2022/23 - 8 wins, 3 draws, 8 losses. 1.42PPG (54 points over a season)

Two seasons before that? Last 19 games of 2020/21 - 9 wins, 2 draws, 8 losses. 1.53 PPG (58 points over a season)

Pochs last 19 games in charge? - 6 wins, 6 draws, 7 losses. 1.26 PPG (48 points over a season).

Go back even further. Redknapps last season in charge? 7 wins, 6 draws, 6 losses, 1.42PPG (54 points over a season)

Now if we beat Sheffield United, which we will do. This will be our last 19 games of 2023/24:

9 wins, 3 draws, 7 losses. 1.58 PPG (60 points over the course of a season).

By the way, let's look at Villas last 19 games (and let's just say they draw with Palace). 8 wins, 6 draws, 5 losses. 1.58 PPG. IDENTICAL to our half of the season in terms of points... Of course they could lose to Palace which means they'd have done worse in the last half of the season than we have...

This most definitely isn't our worst run of results since Ramos or in over 20 years at all. And if anything, shows us that this is usually a typical Tottenham season.

Start well. Tail off a bit. Hit some form again. Finish weak.
