Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He screwed up, admitted he was wrong (to his credit!).

Funny thing all the pundits trying to beat us with sticks over what was basically an error of communication and understanding on Ange’s part from which he has said sorry and learned from.

Top 4s our everything was our motto for a reason.

But not anymore. It’s not Willy wonka land.
Times they are a changing.

You need to break eggs to make an omelette Matthew.

Time to get the butter out.
Sounds like you've had a good lunch today that may not have included food.
If going from 8th to 5th, being 6 points better off than last season, despite losing a 30-goal-a-season striker—the best we've ever had—and trying to implement an entirely new philosophy and starting XI, is somehow considered regression? Then we might as well pack it in now.

Tuchel has just walked from Bayern, maybe we give big name former Chav managers a go?
We're not 6 points better off yet.
Last season was one of our worst in years.
We've scored more goals without Kane proving he may have been replaceable all along.
The only reason we're 5th is due to the "terrible" misfortune Chelsea and Newcastle have had. Even United have had worse injuries than we have.
Our season started well when nobody had worked under Ange before. But it's been in steady decline ever since. Worrying decline.

I am waiting to see if anyone pushes him for clarification on what he meant by "internal" because this is the area I have the issue with. I couldn't give two fucks about the fan stuff but I do genuinely see it as an issues that staff in the club (Spurs fans) had exactly the same attitude as us fans on the outside.

A misconception compounded by his own words?
That is a good point, he has reiterated time and time again he only knows how to play one way.

Plus, we haven't seen the sort of flexibility we witnessed against City for the last two months either let's be honest.

Glad he has changed things up and based on City learned from his mistakes maybe but it does feel a bit like damage control on his part.

Of course this was about him and his image.

But, to avoid this, all he had to do to begin with was say he and the players are professional and will treat the game like any other, with our ambitions intact.

He was the one who opened the door to his own anxiety.

Just needs to talk less, as he gets himself into trouble.

For example, he absolutely didn't need to say it was his worst experience as a manager.

Guy is way too sensitive and self-absorbed.

Good sign that he held his hands up, but should have just left it there.

What we should all have learned from this nasty few days is that there is no such thing as a win-win for Spurs.

A lot of you thought there was. If we beat City that's a win and if we lose to City, meh, that's a win too.
But the fallout from us losing has been just as insufferable as it would have been from Arse if we had won.

One of the main issues for me here... is that bar a small minority, fans in the stadium weren't "rooting" for Man City. They were just within themselves and unsure what to do because of the pretty horrible situation we were put in. The noise even increased when we were on the attack. Singing stand up if you hate Woolwich when the game was lost isn't rooting for the opposition.

However, because of this idea that's been pushed the last few days by the press, rival fans and even our own manager. It's become accepted fact now that 60,000 Spurs fans cheered City goals and did the Poznan. Which is slanderous. total. fucking. bullshit.

Not sure where, this best football in 40 years has evolved from.
The first couple of months were good to watch, but after that a combination of injuries and then, once players returned from injury, the football apart from an isolated moments in games has been shite.
Schoolboy tactics and defending have, largely been a real concern, not coming up with a plan to stop the keeper being jostled, or set piece defending has been amateur at times.
Hopefully the manager will get a raft of new players(highly doubt it), and he can try ironing out the problems with the set up.
Depending on what the other teams do in terms of recruitment and form but, top 6 should be achievable again next season.
