Quite rude aren't you sir.
Only when talking to dickheads.

Noticed your idiotic post got a 'haha' from Tottenham Massive Tottenham Massive the 'bloke' who is soooo anti Levy, that he walked past the usual protest opposite the shop, and instead went on a stadium tour, then spent a load in the club shop and then watched a game in the stadium.

Never been to a protest, yet is so angry online.

We are extremely disappointed with the Club’s decision to increase match day tickets prices for the second consecutive year.

This follows the @SpursOfficial announcement earlier this year that have seen season tickets increase by six per cent and of course the disgraceful changes to senior concession season tickets.

THST Official board members met with the Club on June 4 and once again argued that during this cost-of-living crisis, ticket prices should not be increased.

We asked the Club to remove booking fees and to revert to five category A games, nine category B games and five category C games, rather than the 6-9-4 they have pushed ahead with.

This is not structured dialogue or consultation and we have said as much to the Club.

We pushed for stretch pricing and were able to restrict the increases on category B and C games to £1, but we still believe the increase to category A games is indefensible and unnecessary.

The cumulative effect of the increases is an overall increase higher than the rate of inflation.

The Club’s Fan Advisory Board also expressed its opposition to the proposed increase and its disappointment at the Club’s refusal to agree to revert to 5/9/5 split on match categorisation or to remove booking fees.

A television deal worth £6.7bn is in place for four seasons from 2025/26 shining a light on the record levels of income being generated by Premier League clubs.

We urge both the @premierleague and the incoming independent regulator to take action and to put in place regulations to prevent clubs exploiting loyalty.

THST Official will continue to work with @WeAreTheFSA , fellow supporters’ trusts and politicians to push hard for such regulation. It has become increasingly apparent that such changes will not come from within most Premier League club boardrooms.

It's a £6 increase across the board for adults, less for Seniors and Young Adults, and actually reduced prices for Juniors. Prices were already high, of course, but it's hardly a massive increase.

Newcastle was Cat A last season as well.
As a season ticket holder I don’t usually see the game by game prices. Hence my surprise. Clearly it’s been going up in the background without my focus.

Why is Newcastle now Cat A ? Even if they started that last season. What’s the rationale for that ?

People really need to start drawing a line under this stuff. Ticket prices are just going to keep going up and up and force most fans away ultimately.

Stupid prices. But people won’t stop paying them sadly

Serious question - does anyone think different owners would lead to cheaper ticket prices? That a different owner wouldn’t subscribe to the supply and demand model?

If so, why do you think this?

I think they’d increase them even further. Anyone buying us would be buying us via a leveraged purchase and they’d want their money back quickly. It’s what those pricks who’ve bought the chavs are doing and it would happen with us.

I’m not sure where this belongs, so please forgive if in the wrong place.

I’m reading the book “Glory, Glory Gone”. The first section lightly touches on the period pre & post Double winners.

The author points out that until 61 Spurs spent big ( and well ) as did most of the bigger clubs but there was a wage cap in place. Once it was removed, Spurs lost their advantage and were unwilling or unable to spend on wages the way other clubs started to do.

Spurs were arguably the last club to succeed based on coaching and tactics alone as the double came under wage restraint.

As the club moved through the 60’s and into the 70’s they could not compete with the wages ( or would not ) and the claim is that Nicholson would not take part in the bung culture, that became ever more relevant in tipping a balance.

Move into modern day football, and it’s Spurs and Levy who most want FFP ( and I am sure a wage cap ).

The evidence seems to be clear, the higher the wages ( and win bonuses ) the more premium players you get and the more likely you are to win.

Not drawing much in the way of conclusions other than to think, that perhaps there is no escape from the reality that money is the most impactful part of football overall at elite level, the bigger clubs, pay the bigger wages and more often than not win, and it’s been this way always in modern football ( obvious maybe )

It’s a good read, hope others can get a chance to read it.

They spent big on transfers fees though

That’s probably why some people can’t just draw a line under it???

How many games a season do you go to?
Did you go more when ticket prices were less?

When did West Ham stop being category A?
That's the issue. There are always six Cat A's and the 6th was historically Spam, but is now Barcodes. TBH the 6th biggest draw is one of those two when you look at the alternatives.

Yes they could change it to five Cat A's, but I doubt they want to lose the extra income. And like it or not, this way it probably pisses off the eel munchers more than it would the Saudis.
