Maybe clubs thought they could low ball Leeds because of their FFP issues and Brentford called all their bluffs by just coming out and offering what Leeds wanted?

Thanks.Palacios, Fofana mentioned in the last few days. Onana brought up a few times.
Not sure any of them are the answer, it's hard role to buy. My guess is we'll make do with a Bentancur/Bissouma combo for another year and maybe try and bring in a young English player like Gray or Hayden Hackney we can try and develop for the role.
I guess this transfer business, isn't as hard as some think.Maybe clubs thought they could low ball Leeds because of their FFP issues and Brentford called all their bluffs by just coming out and offering what Leeds wanted?
He's an asset which could attract decent value.Good point is Roden really that bad! Especially if other PL teams are interested. Surely as 4th choice he would do for now. Let’s not forget he is an international player. Also look at our rivals how good are their 4th choice CBs.
Imagine thinking inflation has any bearing on a prem footballers wage demands
Yes, lowball and try to get for as cheap as possible.Depends how hard you want to make it for yourself doesn’t it? We always seem to want to make it as difficult as possible.
Bale was worth the money, that’s the difference. Is it any more lucky than the £86m we made from Bale?
Difference is they invested it sensibly in Van Dijk and Allison while we spaffed ours up the wall.
He’s an international because he’s Welsh.. He’s been available for two seasons and no one has really botheredGood point is Roden really that bad! Especially if other PL teams are interested. Could have sold Erikson for similar money at his height. Hardly spaffed up the wall.Is it any more lucky than the £86m we made from Bale?

The other factor is, if & when Gray does want to get out of Brentford it'll be a heck of a lot easier for him than if Bergvall wants to move up from Spurs. Brentford sell for profit, Levy holds onto his assets for dear life.
Correct. Just explains why some players might want to pick a Palace or Brentford over us, especially if they're confident about their ability. Bellingham picked Dortmund over a host of bigger clubs precisely because he know they'd let him go for the right price.
100%He's an asset which could attract decent value.
No point having him sit around for a season and never play. He's not well suited to Ange-ball.
Take the money and put it towards a LCB/LB that will be a proper rotation option.
There seem to be a few in the euros. Some of the lesser known countries have good players. Are any of the midfielders we’re talking about able to fulfil a decent No 6 role?
OK then, we spent £11m of it well.Could have sold Erikson for similar money at his height. Hardly spaffed up the wall.
Eddie nketia did under GaryLewis Cook was spoke about as one to end up as being one of the best English midfielders of his generation. Was also starting games for Leeds at 17/18.
You could honestly replace his name in this article to Archie Gray

Lewis Cook: Meet Leeds' teenage whizz who'll soon be fought over by the big guns
The 18-year-old impressed hugely in his first full season at Elland Road – and Jamie Kemp says a repeat could make him almost impossible to keep hold of...www.fourfourtwo.com
To be fair to Cook, he was on course to living up to some of that hype but got horrendous injuries. Awful ankle injury that kept him out for the best part of two years and then followed it up with two cruciate ligament injuries in the space of two years.. Testament to his ability that he ever got capped for England.
WOW!!! .If carlsberg did forum posts
Probably the best and most accurate post in Fighting Cock history. .
Take a bow, son.
You could close your eyes and click on any of the 755 pages in this thread and it would be the same boring, turgid bollocks.
As much as some of it is true, do some of you not get bored of repeating the same old shit day in day out?
There has hardly been any signings by any clubs and that's because there is a Euro's tournament on, why should we be any different?
It's the same pathetic Dad jokes over and over and over again, it's as if you are happy that you can bitch about the club. It's the same ones who only post on here when we lose, but are nowhere to be seen when we win.
It's a well known fact that Woolwich are the whiniest, bitchy pathetic fan base, but fuck me some of you are giving them a run for their money.
