At the beginning of the TW a lot of outlets reported that Eze was Ange‘s first pick. If this is true, and I’m happy to concede it may not be, then Levy needs to back Ange.

Conversely if we are going to go for young profile players such as Gray and Doue, then Levy has to give Ange time, which I doubt he’ll do. If you want immediate results such as top 4, challenging for the title or cup wins etc then you need to bring in players who can immediately give you a chance to achieve those goals.

I’d like both Eze and Doue. They play slightly different positions anyway. I also want a striker

All the itk bullshit merchants jumping on the Doue ship.

Liking Gray's signing for Spurs = Désiré Doué to Spurs
Comparing him to Rooney show how little the author is this rumor piece knows about Rooney though and Désiré Doué...

Desire Doue liked Instagram post about Archie Gray signing for Tottenham

Spurs are said to be seriously considering a move for the £35m-rated 19-year-old who has been making waves in Ligue 1.

Woolwich and Bayern Munich have also been credited with interest in Doue too, who has been compared to a young Wayne Rooney.

Doue is typically a left-winger, but can also thrive in central areas too, possessing a robust physique – hence the Rooney links.

That being said, it now seems as if Doue is keeping a close eye on Tottenham’s exciting project, perhaps indicating his interest in a summer move.

That may be getting slightly carried away, but Doue is clearly keeping up to date with the club’s business, and liked an Instagram post by Rising Ballers regarding Gray’s arrival.

The post mentioned that Gray had completed his medical, signed his contract and mentioned that it was a ‘huge signing for Spurs’.

Quite obvious they saw what O'Keefe tweeted yesterday, realise he knows far more than they do and have used it as gospel.
People need to remember that the media and itks (for that website) monetise clicks and attention. It doesn’t matter if what they say is true, it only matters that you click and talk about it.

Whether it’s positive or negative, they want you to feel something. It’s exploitative.

Haven't seen much of Doue before this morning tbh, different style but reminds me a bit of Bernardo Silva. Really works hard out of possession and gets stuck in, great balance and body strength, doesn't burn people for pace but beats players with turns/feints/close control (more conventional winger pace than BS). Kind of an 8/10/LW hybrid. Obv a long way from Bernardo Silva, just a nod to the profile of player he could be.
Funny what different people see in players, to me he doesn't look anything like B Silva

Doué is in the french Olympic squad. The bronze medal match is august 8th and the final is august 9th. He’s already had his holiday but if France make the final then he would likely miss all of preseason as our last preseason game is august 10th.

PL season starts august 19th.

I know of a number of people who think that. Trying to avoid sounding like a broken record but it’s really a case of them not being utilised to their respective strengths. The one game I recall Skipp playing at the base was Everton at home and I thought he was solid and his passing was more conducive to the way we play compared most of Hojbjerg’s starts there
Funny, that was the game that convinced me he couldn't be a #6 in this system. Couldn't receive the ball on the turn or under pressure whatsoever.
