I’m amazed at the willingness on here to sell Richarlison

I can’t be the only one who thinks he’ll have a good season. 15 goals incoming at least.

Keep him fit he’ll score
But he doesn’t do that even if he’s fit. He must be thinking he’s not going to play if we sign a striker and want to move on. He’s not a kid who’d be happy to sit on the bench. It will all depend if we sign a centre forward which is an absolute certainty. There’s no way Ange has looked at last season and been happy with whoever played in the centre forward role. Goal wise it was decent but our general play from front players broke down to much. We don’t have any fluency in our game because of it.

Even at the end during that terrible period with Son up top Ange wasn't starting Richy. He stunk the place out against Chelsea and was back on the bench the next game against Liverpool. There is absolutely no chance Ange is satisfied with Richy as our main option up top this season.

That's subjective. There's absolutely no stats or evidence to back it up.

Richarlison scored 10 goals and missed half the season. His goals per 90 / mins per goal are in the top 5 in the league and bettered inly by the leagues most prolific players.
Fucking hell mate learn to take a joke 😂 obviously I'm not saying Gio would literally have a Ballon D'Or ffs.

The point is you can't just wish away a player's injury record as if they're not a thing. The best ability is availability, end of.

GLC and Gil out maybe Solomon as well, that's maybe 30M? ish and get both in net 60/65M spend for two terrifyingly good players, one proven and one massive potential

We’ve let a few go but they weren’t playing anyway. We still have Reggie, Spence, LoCelso, Hojbjerg to shift For money.
Apparently Ipswich showing an interest in Spence.
Not forgetting Emerson seems to be on the brink of a move to Milan for about 17m.
Looking at a conservative value of 70-80m for that lot.
Forgot Bryan Gil and Solomon. Need to shift all these.
Not counting any of those mentioned above we would have a squad of 21 which incl the under 21 Birdvall and Archie Gray . Some of our own under 21 could supplement thus as well. So quite a bit of room for new signings.
We have certainly been carrying excess players these last couple of seasons.

and that is why we often end up with an nkoudo, njie, stambouli, gedson, byan gills, djeds etc etc.

Levy getting that stiffy for the hopeful increased value of the younger player in a few years time rather than getting that prem ready and proven player who will propel the team in the here and now and not hopefully in 2 years time by which time the manager who bought him has usually been sacked
:ange-facepalm2:

Difference between then and now is that we have a much better scouting network.

I don’t watch Doué regularly but I know a bit about him.

First off, I heard the name Mbappé dropped and that is completely inappropriate. I think France have produced three generational players, indisputably the best in the world who have produced in the biggest moments for multiple years - Platini, Zidane, Mbappé. Doué is not going to hit those heights. Mbappé had scored 10 Champions league goals and 4 World Cup goals at the same age. Doué probably has similar dribbling ability but lacks the output. Let’s be real though, if Doué were scoring and assisting at a high rate then he’d be off to Real Madrid - no one else would get close.

However he is one of the most highly rated players here in France. He was nominated for best young player in Ligue 1 - the others were Zaïre Emery (who won), Leny Yoro, Rayan Cherki, Ben Seghir.

I think the very best french talents right now are Zaïre Emery, Yoro and Chevalier. Doué is just a step behind (although playing for a weaker team).

Maybe the only similarity with Mbappé is his easy going but focused, confident communication style. He gives off good emotions and seems to love working hard. He’s charismatic and a natural leader. I could easily see him reach a kind of Griezmann level of performance … or a less frustrating Dembele if we’re comparing more similar players.

I would love to see this come off. He is one of the best talents in the world and can become a top, top player but I’m not going to post much more about him and pretend this isn’t happening. My fear is he ends up at PSG.

The injury record is a problem. I don't even think it's injuries. I think he lost his head and that's why he wasn't being risked.

But he definitely showed when his head and body were playing along, he was more than capable of getting 15 goals.

It was only ever about his mum… Once she knocked back Mr Levy he was dead to us.

Roma wonderkid Zaniolo tells stunning mum to stop posting sexy selfies on Instagram

I'd pay 60 mil for that.

But I'd be the one doing the scoring.

I wouldn't swap Richy for Toney or half of the strikers we have been linked to.

Also can't see a guy with mental health challenges outside the game going to Saudi where every player seems to be complaining about the life outside football.

I hope we keep Richie just to piss off the know-nothings who are posting absolute shite about him on here.

We (real spurs fans) hope you stay Richie-la!

Between £300k a week for Bilbao or £300k a week for Barcelona.

Utter waste of time talking about this guy,
Where has that come from?

Williams is on £170k/week at Bilbao, and where are Barca getting £48M upfront and a £300k/week wage from? They haven't got a pot to piss in at the moment, and have to sell in order to buy and register.

We could offer him 4 years in the biggest league on Earth, playing a major role in a young team that intends to challenge for the title, and could pay him 50% more than he's currently earning.

He might want Barca, but he won't get them right now. He might be happy to stay at Bilbao, but we'll see just how serious he is if we offer him around £250k/week. He's only 21, it's not like he'll be past his prime if/when Barca sort their finances out and can afford him.
